He really just plays in a way that prioritizes team success over anything else. Whatever the Nuggets need on any given night he provides, whether it be rebounding, playmaking, or scoring. He doesn’t care what his statline looks like at the end of the game as long as his team wins, which makes it even crazier how good his numbers look year in and year out. Jokic is obviously far from underrated at this point but I don’t think people are really appreciating how good he truly is

If he actually wanted, he could have easily gotten a 20 10 20 triple double, but Jokic does not care about his stats. He also had 4 steals, a block and 9 rebounds.

He makes passes that makes you think “it’s an obvious pass”, but in reality those are genius passes because he is so patient and aware of his teammates. Each game we take him for granted. It’s like Michael Jordan he could be MVP for 10 straight years.

It’s nice to see that Jokic brought up the ball more than usual for this game. This is a direct adjustment to what the Lakers did which was to push him away from the paint and put a body in front him so he can’t get the ball. Having him bring up the ball let’s him initiate the offense on his own terms. Even if he doesn’t have the atheliticism to drive to the rim after a screen, his passing always creates an advantage
