NBA #1 Defensive Line is Achiuwa, Pascal, OG, Barnes, FVV. I Dare for any team to challenge that. Lets hear it

Raptors are still an elite defensive team, that’s long been our identity. Just need the offence to produce enough.

Hopefully we can add Brown from Dallas a 7 foot 2 big who would fit great with this young core. Guy had over 20 points and 20 rebounds against Celtics last yr, another diamond in the ruff type that was undrafted but has great motor and works hard , like steady Freddy! These types seem to thrive In the 6!

Banton can pass! His court vision is amazing. Once he gets a shot or pull up jumper he will be one to watch.
Matt Morgan deserves a chance in the league imo

Banton has crazy potential but needs to keep his TOs low, he had 5 in this game which isn’t a great look. but a looottt of promise nonetheless

    • G

      August 17, 2021 at 10:38 pm

@kingkai yes he is so tall that he fumbles it a bit that’s why he crouches when he dribbles. Once he has better control and works on his shot he should be great.

Toronto ball movement and discipline is proof that NETS do not have a proper coaching staff, in theory they don’t even need a coach when they have superstars, but in reality, if NETS stars get injured the reserve players will need good coaching to win games

      August 17, 2021 at 8:56 pm

      Banton is a better passer

    • John Wayne

      August 17, 2021 at 9:04 pm

Ariza was more 3 and d but banton like scottie is a legit 6’9 pg

    • Artisan Betta

      August 17, 2021 at 9:08 pm

You young guns don’t really watch Trevor Ariza. This guy was a point forward before entering the league, always had an underrated passing ability and vision which we occasionally see from time to time. Due to how the league was built then in his prime, he did not have the opportunity to showcase much with Kobe being the primary ball handler.

We got a better ben simmons whose potential is higher and who will put in the work to get his shot going. Banton gonna be a menace in this league in the near future.

he might be kept around he had 16 mins a game and 14.1 rebounds with 2.2 steals and 2.7 blocks. He seems like a rodman type player.

I am really impressed by Banton’s court vision and awareness (3:39, 3:46, 5:35 6:32, 6:45, 6:51), He actually moves quite fast as a 6’9 tall man. I love the face he keeps his head up high as he attacks–constantly scan the floor for assists. If he doesn’t see a passing opportunity, he attacks strong. Banton handles the ball very well for a big man. I really think we got a potentially legit 6’9 guard.

I’m going to keep my 👁 on the 905 more so than I ever have. Potential requires patience, game time, freedom to be bad & good coaching. When the Raptors made the 905 a reality it was for players like Danton & company. Rough edges, high potential that can be developed in a nurturing environment. I think they have to feel good that player development can hit on a couple of high impact players from this current crop. Might take a couple of years but, that’s nothing for a quality organization. Maybe they trade for another First in 2022 & stock it up a little more. I could easily see a 3-way that gets Dragic to a contender, swap First’s with a 3rd party hand em whatever the contenders willing to move et voila we might get in the lottery again.
