    Since a lot of people ask: Can a referee dunk?

    Yes, a referee can technically dunk a basketball, but it is highly unlikely that they would do so during a game. Referees are not typically known for their basketball skills and their main job is to officiate the game, not to play. Additionally, if a referee were to engage in such behavior during a game, it could be seen as unprofessional and could potentially affect their ability to do their job impartially. However, outside of a game situation, a referee is free to participate in basketball games and can certainly attempt to dunk the ball if they are physically capable of doing so.
