I used to be really low on Champagnie but boy did he prove me wrong. Excellent guy to have on your roster. Great shooter, a pest on defense, and a great teammate. Hope he’s around for a long time.

Reminds me of Danny Green. Someone rejected by another team but got picked up by the Spurs who eventually becomes a solid 3nD.

@HeckThor. I normally watch my playoff hoops at home. But in 2013 I was in a bar in Chapel Hill watching one of the Spurs-Heat Finals series. Every time Danny Green made a play – especially hitting a shot – the crowd would rise up and say “DaNNY GREen” and then laugh-cheer. It was kind of a joyful joke for the locals who had cheered for him in college. Good times.

Has he is not always been great for this contract? Arguably 2nd best behind Wemby if you consider level play/money

@TheChessRunner the last few years he’s been an okay roster guy. You don’t mind having him out there, but you don’t feel like he’s adding much, just doing what an average NBA player can be expected to do. This season he’s upped his game a lot. He’s a plus shooter and defender now, and generally makes good decisions.

NBA is so soft now players not trying to go for blocks cause they might be on a poster

    • @evanvansickle3779

      November 21, 2025 at 1:16 pm

It’s usually because of fouls. That’s why I kinda hate the foul out rule.

    • @BeardedRealm

      November 21, 2025 at 1:21 pm

@evanvansickle3779 it makes sense though otherwise theyd be hacking at every shot. Probably be a low scoring game
