Tonight when Robinson dropped a 3 I swear the commentator goes, “Great play by Butler!!!” cause he made an easy pass to Robinson. If you watched the series with the Celtics, where Jimmy basically existed to attract defense and then pass it off, and where Barkley and current players were saying that Martin should have won MVP, and see the Heat now and see that Martin doesn’t start and barely gets the ball, you have to know that the NBA’s product is superstar celebrity ball. Martin and others are NOT allowed to outshine the guy who is in the Burger King commercials. The NBA’s income is advertising based. Remember that.

It was a great play by Butler because he hit the open man. Any pro is supposed to hit an open 3.

    Translation

Serbian Reporter: “Congratulations on the win tonight! What do you think led to the win, how you finished the game, and how will you prepare for the next match?”

Jokic: “It was a difficult game, just like the ones before. However, I think we did a great job staying in control for the majority of the time, if not the whole time. They had a few runs where they came back and were only down 3 or 4 points, but we controled it and got a lot of open shots. Some we made, some we didn’t. We played well and I am really satisfied with it tonight. We have one more game we need to win and since we’ve been in their situation before we understand their current state of mind and how they feel. We won’t relax.”

The Nuggets main defensive adjustment after Game 2 was to minimize help on Jimmy in the paint, and when help was sent, it was done randomly and from different spots in order to stay home on Strus, Martin, Robinson, and Vincent. To counter this, I expected Jimmy to capitalize by going for 30 – 40pts a night and FORCE the Nuggets to alter their defense, but he hasn’t been able to do that. My guess is a combination of the ankle injury and fatigue from the grueling series against the Celtics has caught up.

Hats off to the Nuggets, they have responded to every single adjustment the Heat have made defensively and kept scoring above 100pts consistently. The only hope the Heat have is for Jimmy and Bam to combine for 70+ pts which at this stage of the series is no longer a possibility.

I love how joker says he can’t speak English. He can’t accept compliments. Native language or not. The smiles when the two non-native English speakers spoke to to him. The smile. Respect. You should be a hockey player!!

Miami: We will win the next game… We like to do things the hard way. We will win 3 straight…..😂
Denver: We haven’t done anything yet. We will do our best to win at home we don’t want to play again in Miami. 😊

Me: Why talk trash Miami? You couldn’t even win 1 game at home and you stll talking smack. Hahahaha

Good point… ever since the Heat took a 3-1 lead vs the Celtics, they’ve seemed to develop a sense of false-humility as their “underdog” playoff journey progressed — the outspoken confidence appears like a way of convincing themselves at this point

I’m disgusted by the way chat was celebrating disrespecting the Heat as though they cheated in order to try and win these past 2 games, even though Nuggets have truly had the refs and what appears to be the entire sports world on their side this series with everyone doing nothing but hyping them up and putting the Heat down. The fact that the Nuggets players a more respectful than the fans says a lot about the people who live in Denver, they are like Pats fans always arrogant and being disrespectful for no reason. I have no other words to put this into except for this being a disgusting display by the Nuggets fans.

Man I gotta say, I think you are running into Social Media Syndrome at the moment. You’re focusing only on the negative comments coming from Denver fans and ignoring any positive ones, and negative comments always get favored by social media algorithms in general. I live in Denver and IRL the full focus is on the Nuggets and what they’re doing, literally nobody here is focusing on the Heat at all and if they are the only things I hear are about how incredible the Heat playoff run as an 8 seed has been (which is true).

I also really don’t think the refs have consistently been on the Nuggets side, I’ve seen games and quarters where the nuggets have gotten favored but have seen those for the Heat as well (see the start of Q4 of game 2 or see Jokic’s 5th foul in Game 4, or the laundry list of flop calls the Heat have gotten this series). Obviously each side is going to be biased but I really think the refs have been equally shitty in both directions and most people I’ve talked to who aren’t fans of either team have said they think it’s been fair officiating.

And while you may be seeing the “entire sports world” siding with the Nuggets, that’s only because they’re up 3-1. At the start of the series there were just as many people rooting for the 8 seed upset as there were rooting for Denver to get a championship.

To summarize: go outside and stop focusing on only the troll comments you read under NBA YouTube videos or r/NBA. The average Denver fan is purely excited about the fact that our team is winning and takes no joy in the Heat losing.
