The Lakers should hire Chauncey as GM, that makes sense.

The lakers front office was fine. Magic ruined things. Jesse and Joey buss and Luke and rob were always at draft workouts and team practices working. Magic was absent majority of the time hence the reason for pelinka calling him out. He was never around but as soon as he gets in he wants to fire Luke who wasn’t giving a fair shot when he was turning things around. Smh Magic is just toxic and I’m happy he is gone. If he did well he would have got more control but look how things turned out. Smh dummy

XL Forgetting the fact that Jeannie was aware he wouldn’t be doing a lot of the legwork. Helping Pelinka and others when possible. He was chief and had last say but Jeannie gave Magic that power renegged.

james david manning I’d love to see Jerry West and Phil Jackson as advisors in some capacity but that may be a pipe dream lol

Damn. Jeannie Buss is doing such a horrible job that she’s making Laker fans miss the days when Jim Buss was running team and that’s sad.

      May 21, 2019 at 6:17 pm

And who is the one that ousted Jim Buss? Magic Johnson and the media.
Do you see the whole picture yet? Because the media will take advantage on people’s short term memory.

+Stevo Z Well Magic Johnson did admit that he’d like to buy the lakers someday so I have no doubt that there was a hidden agenda behind this. But even still, this doesn’t make Jeannie look good for various reasons. Hell at least with Jim Buss, there was always hope that maybe the Lakers might get better if they got rid of his ass, and Kobe either swallowed his pride to take a lesser role or retire.

But now, this just screams dysfunction and if AD seriously wants to STILL be a laker after all this, then this tells me either he’s an idiot, or he must have one helluva a hard on to play alongside LeBron because no sane superstar is going to sign up for a franchise that’s unstable.

+Steven Escareno What dysfunction are you talking about? Magic quit? Jeanie Buss taking advice from NBA legends like Kobe (Pelinka), Phil Jackson (Rambis)? What dysfunction is out there when everything is still functional. Jeanie either made a mistake hiring Magic or whatever, that mistake is being corrected. Dysfunctional team can’t do that. The only dysfunction in Magic Johnson is gone. Stop feed on media shit and think you are even close to the real truth.

I can still see ignorant players like AD (though he isn’t a FA) attracted to LA because of Lebron thinking Bron’s gonna make everything alright. boy, the surprise they are in for…

Dang Jalen Rose… and the man (Magic Johnson) had nothing but nice things to say about your a$$. I thought you were a brother about speaking your truth. Just be because you don’t like what he said (or that it may hurt Lakers) doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be said. You just called Magic a side hustler!

Magic is trying to let Laker Nation know that “He” isn’t the reason shit abt to be crazy for the near future. I think he is trying to wash his hands of the team but he wants to clear his name of the bs so LA will still love him.

Magic is the bum in this equation. Magic wasn’t cutting it and Rob called his diva ass out. Good riddance, Magic.

I don’t care about Jalen Rose.
This needed to be done to erase the rumors.
Law school could not prepare Rob Pelinka for what to do when you piss of Magic Johnson.

President position didn’t even exist for the Lakers until Magic Johnson.

Why not fire Pelinka when he learned he getting backstabbed? If he cant do that cuz he aint in control, confront the dude put him in his place. He’s Magic.

Low key kinda hope that zubac averages 20 and 10 next year. I like magic and I believe him about rob. But he disrespected zubac lol

  24. TERMINATAH

    May 22, 2019 at 3:09 am

Majic is a drama Queen. He cannot handle the fact that he was critiqued for not doing his job. Plus he felt like a failure when the AD trade didnt happen. That trade would have been a block buster and he would want the noble peace price for that.
