I remember watching the playoffs last yr and watching nba fans bash on the magic while praising the Minnesota Timberwolves for literally playing the same style of basketball, with lockdown defense. They were like, “OMG, this wolves team is so fun, like a throw back 90s team with the physical play and defense.” While calling the magic with similar defense, style and the cavs games boring although it was an exciting 7 games, just like in the 90s, throw back games. Now look at the cavs and my/our hometeam the magic. Now ppl are somewhat acknowledging this great young team, the very same team now, that they were dissing just this past season and playoffs. The only difference is KCP and an extra year of experience and growth.

Paolo and Franz are gonna be a must watch duo in the league for years to come. Magic please don’t screw this team up. Let them develop chemistry and don’t rush by trading pieces for old star players. Let the young fellas do their thing.

That’s exactly what they have been doing. It’s why they didn’t sign klay Thompson or Paul George this off-season. Is why they didn’t go get a point guard. They felt orlando had everything they needed internally. And I’m glad they went that route. Last yr there were fans who wanted the magic to add a superstar this summer to “put us over the top.” Some of us, including myself been saying snce paolo rookie yr that this team was special and that they should develop instead of going after superstars.

The Magic FO are the same FO that built Milwaukee Bucks by building through the draft, which they drafted Giannis and they got good. It’s a slow process but so far it’s paying off for the Magic.

Franz has been amazing! But I must say the most exciting part to watch has been our stifling defense. Suggs, KCP and Franz on the perimeter and then a healthy dose of bitadze, Isaac, and Carter on the interior. Should terrify opponents.

They are playing at an unbelievable level defensively. it shows throughout the entire team how the defense is so infectious. Like they enjoy turning teams over on offense. They enjoy wearing teams out with their defense that by the time the third quarter rolls around their opponents tend to be sluggish with the ball, shooting the ball flat, turnovers, extra. Fatigue begins to set in from the constant pressure from the magic squad.
