    The Wizards did not want out on Westbrook at all. Ted Leonsis made it very clear he was disappointed that Westbrook asked to be traded to the Lakers.
    Westbrook has had 2 of his 4 triple double seasons within his current contract.

    I usually don’t agree with Mad Dog, but the Lakers and Russ deserve plenty blame. I hate this stupid Russ is who he is and won’t change BS. Playing off ball is easier if you know what you are doing, yet what does Russ do, stand around ball watching like an idiot. That is exactly why he will never be a champion. You do whatever it takes to win, ask Andrew Wiggins.

    Foxworth can’t differentiate his role as a TV talking head who’s supposed to have some objective rationality from his former role supporting NFL players as a union rep. This was word salad nonsense in defense of a bad contract.

    “The reason why he’s making $40M a year … it’s because they have capped the salaries. So like you have to, he’s worth this money, he was worth this money previously. They’re paying him out the amount of money he’s worth over the course of his contract because they have max salaries and a salary cap.”

    He’s seemingly overpaid because there’s no cap? But wouldn’t he likely be more overpaid if there was no cap? He’s worth the money because he was worth the money previously? And even if there wasn’t a cap he wouldn’t get it all at once, he would be paid over the course of his contract, so what does being paid over the course of a contract have to do with max salaries and a cap. None of this makes any sense.

    Everybody keeps complicating this whole thing, it’s simple, there games didn’t mesh. Simple. Lebron and russ can’t play together. Alot of players in the history of the league had the same issue, this is just more highlighted because of the participants
