How is he player of the month? His team were 9-7 with poor defense. The Clippers has the best record with 11-4. The NBA is really throwing out gawdy like stats while being an average team as a gold standard of winning.

“Player” of the month, meaning it applies to the “player” only, not the team in general. When you refer to the Clippers you are referring to the “team”.

Probably has to do with averaging 34ppg, shooting basically 60% from 2 and 40% from 3, while also being the best playmaker in the world. He’s 9-6 in January; Kawhi missed a few games, so he’s 9-3. He’s been good on defense, but is also averaging almost 7 fewer points less efficiently, and is a far worse playmaker.

Not really a good comparison. Curry is much quicker and able move off ball better, better overall shooter especially at the ft line. Luka is Luka. Curry is curry.

He is not and has never been the worst defender ever, he’s just the guy who puts less effort on defense ever. That’s a known fact — bro simply doesn’t care about that end of the floor 90% of the time and doesn’t even hide it. The 2024-25 Mavs season could have been the first time something different was about to happen because they finally got a lot of depth and his usage was dropping. Then there were injuries, Nico got impatient and decided to go pursuit his platonic love for AD.
