He played some of the most active & persistent defense I have seen him play outside of some play off series. He had a awesome block. If he is willing to play that hard on defense, Lakers have a chance.

If you watched the game you’ll see why. Unfortunately he’s 80% of the offense and on defense they still hunt for him. So he’s constantly moving and having to do things. It’ll get better once the season goes and his cardio develops and lebron is back

No matter how good you are on offense, it will all be in vain if it’s not balanced with a good defense. Every time the Lakers defend, Doncic always sees opposing players easily pass him and he doesn’t do anything more on defense. When he jumps, he always seems to slip and he’s also starting to get fat again 😂

If Luka had been this disciplined with his conditioning in Dallas, he’d still be in Dallas. But he was definitely the victim when Dallas traded him instead of rewarding his lack of discipline and professionalism with a super max contract.
Whatever. Mavs got Flagg, so I can’t be too mad. It just bothers me as a Mavs fan that no one seems willing to admit that Luka’s dedication to conditioning this off season is an admission that he didn’t do it in Dallas.
In reality, the trade was a wake up call that Luka needed to experience. He’ll be a better player because of it. And now he gets to be the centerpiece of the NBAs flagship franchise. Boohoo. Poor Luka.
