Not in the NBA. You have to keep that top guard as far out as possible, so the lob threat (his movement opens up corner 3s, b/c it opens up cutting lanes too) is too important to lose.
It’s not vanity that has those long 3s being shot by older/injury-prone guys like Dame, LeBron, Luka, and Steph. It simply makes their man pick them up at half court, *because those 5 shoot 40fters at near 40% efficiency*
