     Wrong. The Pistons (15-50) have a slightly worse record than the Rockets (15-49) and the Spurs are almost as bad (16-49). And there’s flattened lottery odds, so the team with the worst record isn’t guaranteed the #1 pick. Also, the Lakers do have a first round pick this year – the Pelicans just have the option to swap it with them, so if the Lakers record is worse than the Pelicans, then the Pelicans will take it since it’ll be a higher pick.

   That’s a load of b.s. – I’m sure Wembanyama rather go to a team that’s in a state with warmer weather (such as the Rockets or Spurs) than to one that’s in a cold weather state (Detroit). Also, Detroit is a high crime city – another reason to not want to live there.

    This kid will be a bust unless he puts on around 30 to 40 lbs of muscle. He’s way to skinny to survive for long going against NBA big men in the post – he’ll get knocked around like a pinball.

    If we’re being honest, the best place for him to go is SA. You have Pop and Tim Duncan to help develop him. Wembys footwork is not good down low on either end, so why not have one of the greatest low post players on both ends of the court teach him. Timmy is in the gym all the time anyway. Anyone that says otherwise is foolish. If you want this kid to reach his full potential, out of all the teams fighting for the first pick, the Spurs are by far the best place for him. And that’s not even adding on the strong international presence they have
