The Lakers needed that win. Essentially every game counts double when it comes to the playoffs. Had they lost, they’d be 2 games further behind.

These games don’t have to be this close. Bryant is shooting 45% from 3 and 65% from the floor. Lonnie Walker seems to have lost his minutes, though before he was injured he was there 3rd best player. Gabriel and Christie getting no run. Ham is a terrible coach, the Lakers only when two generational talents play out of their minds. If either or both have an off night, they lose when they have talent on this team. There’s no reason that 3 guards are getting 35+ minutes a game each when ALL 3 are typically offensive black holes while getting cooked repeatedly on defense. Fans won’t complain till it cost them, the Lakers are good enough to compete for the title if properly coached.
