I bet a lot of nets fans are really happy that they got close to winning today but it’s not good enough, that is now 4 in a row lost and puts them down to 6th in the eastern conference, you gotta take advantage of a good team playing a bad game and they failed thanks to Nash like always. First they just got lucky coming back from 19, warriors were just playing awfully at the time, turning it over and missing everything, then you have a chance to overtake them in the last quarter and throw it away.

First, Griffins minutes, what the hell are you doing? He comes in for five minutes, scores 6 points, defends brilliantly and they go on a 16-3 run to take the lead and then he gets taken off and we only see him again about 20 minutes of game time later and only because Aldridge gets injured. They were double teaming Kyrie all game, Blake is the only other guy on the team who can take the ball and make a play for himself or others, he plays 25+ minutes you win that game. Second the final quarter gameplay, why is Edwards the one screening for Kyrie and getting the ball off the double team? He has no idea where to be for Kyrie to get the ball to him in the first place, when Kyrie does successfully get the ball he doesn’t know what to do with it, get Edwards in the corner and let Blake come out and get the ball out of the double team and make a play himself, he actually knows where to be to make it easier on Kyrie and he knows what to do once he gets that ball. You also could have gotten Griffin in the post a bit more, he isn’t the post scorer Aldridge is but if you don’t double him there he has a good chance of scoring, let him post up and see how Warriors wanna play it, much better than getting the ball to Edwards and expecting him to make a play.

Third, I really hope I’m wrong here and Nash actually did use his challenge, I don’t remember it and if that’s the case he can be fired just for that. I don’t care how obvious the foul is, I don’t care if Kyrie threw a clear KO punch at Klay, there is 9 seconds left, you are 1 point down, if there is even a 1% chance they overturn the call you use the challenge. Nash doesn’t deserve to be called coach and it’s an embarrassment that he still has a job, yes he lost to a great team here but there have been so many games where he has lost to much worse teams because be doesn’t know how to coach. As soon as he benched Blake 20 games into the season he should have been fired, what kind of coach benches a guy completely when you had just won 12 of 14 games with him starting?

I will never understand how this guy has the kobe / mj traditional offensive catalog of moves + package….but he pulls it all off in a 6,1 …6 2 frame….which is absolutely insane….not hating at all in fact have been in amazement recently because it’s not even like kyrie is like physically gifted to offset the size difference….just crazy
