Kyrie Irving is venturing into Kobe Bryant territory right now – Ramona Shelburne | The Jump

Published

on

Rachel Nichols, Ramona Shelburne and Chiney Ogwumike discuss the hot start to Kyrie Irving’s Brooklyn Nets career, with Sheburne saying it reminds her a bit of the “peak Kobe Bryant” era, in which he didn’t get much scoring help from his Los Angeles Lakers teammates. They then (2:40) discuss whether Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies or Kendrick Nunn of the Miami Heat has been the better rookie thus far in the 2019-20 NBA season.

How? I guess jacking up 35+ shots and scoring points make you Kobe. Kobe was a killer yes but people forget the key component. Kobe WON!

    Lol…
    Kyrie is nowhere near Kobe..
It’s honestly a joke to even compare him to Kobe Bryant…
Kobe even showed him exactly where he stands in the NBA..
Go look up on YouTube where kyrie called out Kobe
Kyrie was clearly and most definitely put in his place… where he should be..
against a person that’s called the black mamba…

The problem is, is Kyrie is alpha or whatever sure, but historically, it tends to be the players that make others better who win, and Kyrie made Boston worse, so his yet to prove that, you don’t win a team game by scoring all the points, just ask James Harden and Westbrook when they played on their own teams πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

I love Kyrie but he is not at Kobe’s level….yet. Kobe scored like this over a number of years.
