Incredible win from all of our guys. Way to keep the lead for most of the game, and fight hard to close well in the end.
Monk had incredible production in his time, off the bench dropping 18 points on .545 shooting, with .429 on threes.
Achiuwa and DeRozan again are showing how valuable to winning they are. Achiuwa had an incredible first half, and finished the game with a crazy 28-19 on .632 from the field, efficient all-around production on both ends. DeRozan showed how well he performs in the clutch, getting tough finished and closing the game with a clutch 3 from the assist from Monk, and ending the game with 28 points.
I will be honest, this will hurt for our draft standings, but I will continue to be on the side of competition, and we played hard on both ends. We’re building a culture of winning and continuing through tough times. This season was a failure, but with our young guys playing well, our vets meshing well and teaching them, I believe our timeline and bounce back will be quick! 💜🦁🔥
