The greatest small forward of all-time when he retires . Very clean and efficient offensive game along with being a lockdown defender . A perfect blend of Michael Jordan and Ron Artest .

Best playoff run ever. Better than 2016 LeBron’s run

Kawhi won LeBron lost. Kawhi had 1 game 7. LeBron had 2 game 7s and got swept. No Superstar should ever get swept. LeBron had his wife’s scarf saying he had a broken arm. Kawhi played through his leg injuries and said everyone’s injured. KD got hurt Raptors were only 3 points down. Klay got hurt Raptors were only 5 points down. Kawhi got hurt Golden State were 21 points down with KD,Klay,Steph and supposed elite defender Draymond on the floor.

My point is “What if” shouldn’t be a point of argument because we will never know who shoulda, woulda, coulda won these games. Since 2015 there’s always been either a suspended, hurt or injured player in the finals who is very vital to the team.

    Don’t hold that against Kawhi.
Kawhi avg 31 ppg had the
    1st in 3s made,
    1st in points,
    1st in steals,
    1st in rebounds,
    3rd in Blocks,
2nd in assists on his 2019 run and we all agree on Kawhi being the best defender.

LeBron avg 34 ppg was the
    1st in points,
    1st in assists,
    1st in blocks,
    1st in steals
    2nd in 3 point shooting
2nd in Rebounds on his playoffs run in 2018.

They both achieved greatness but one won and the other lost by getting swept.

The problem was is that Lebron played atrocious defense against the Warriors. His defense was so horrible against KD that he was in the 50-40-90 club, and in a lot of plays he let Iggy get a lot of wide open slams, and Curry pop shots in his face. It’s as if he just gave up on trying to beat the Warriors.

If you watched the finals, you could also see that it rubbed off on the Cavs as well. The Cavs stopped playing defense, and they looked like Barbecued Chicken in the paint.

Now compare that to the Raptors. Kawhi is the best defender in the NBA, and you could clearly see how it rubbed off on the rest of the team. For instance, VV, and Lowry didn’t back down from the challenge of sticking with Steph Curry, Kawhi put Draymond in check, and Gasol with Ibaka were elite paint protectors averaging almost 6 blocks a game.

It’s simple, your best player sets the tone for your team. You can’t win a championship and play atrocious defense.

@Hokage Itachi Uchiha Very well said. When LeBron retires the media will go right for his throat. All his melt downs in the finals. His complaining, his losses.

This will happen because no one is allowed to criticize his game on live TV because you won’t be invited again or you will have to come back to apologise. The media also promotes him by criticizing other elite players like KD, Steph, Kawhi and co.

The likes of Jaylen Brown, Jason Tatum, Marcus Smart, Lonzo Ball, Dejournte Murray and a few more say they look up to Kawhi but the media doesn’t pick it up because it’s not LeBron.

    May 15, 2020 at 9:29 pm

Top 20. He’s achieved more than other players could ever dream of in just 8 seasons. He’s only at 20 because he has a lot to offer. Now, he’s got his own team and he will win more rings than KD or LeBron ever did. KD and Bron for their two rings had Wade, Bosh, Allen, Kyrie, Love, Klay, Steph who were all considered elite players in their game while Kawhi had the big three for one of his rings. His second ring none of those guys were shit. Kyle Lowry was considered a chocker while the others had nothing. Ibaka never won anything and Marc Gasol did have a defensive player of the year which people said should have been for Bron which I disagree with. Gasol totally deserved it. Kawhi has 2xDPOTY 2xFMVP 1xAll Star MVP, 1x STL leader. Took Spurs to the best win for their franchise in 2016 to a 40-1 home record and only bested by GSW and Steph unanimous league MVP which was well deserved but Kawhi came in second. In 2017 Kawhi beat every single top team more than they beat him he outplayed LeBron who had beaten him since 2016 until the last LAL vs LAC game. Outplayed KD and was also doing that in the conference finals until Zaza happen. He destroyed Westbrook and Harden. Outplayed PG. He was the best player in the league. Spurs had the best record in the league behind GSW. Kawhi started late in his offensive brilliance but don’t take that away from his greatness yet to come. Don’t disrespect him because he doesn’t talk. He is in the top 20. Him achieving so much in such a little time should tell you he could be even greater not less. Think! Basketball is a team sport. Neither greats won the games by themselves they all needed someone to show up. LeBron had Wade continually showing up in his wins and Kyrie did for his third while KD had Steph and Klay show up. In Kawhi’s case he had a mix of different players showing up none of them were consistent

Now do this list for their number 2 options. I’m very sure in LeBron’s winning rings. He needed help. Kyrie was just 15 to 20 behind LeBron’s point tally. LeBron is a great player but he’s never carried to winning. He’s always carried to losses. For him to win, he always needs his second option to score as much. In 2012 LeBron avg 29 to Wade’s 23 ppg. 2013 LeBron avg 25 to Wade’s 20 ppg. 2016 LeBron avg 30 to Kyrie’s 27 ppg. Basically, when he carries he losses. He also stat pads. He got most of his points in garbage time against the Spurs. He went off in game 4 but only got he’s close to within 15 points. Spurs blew them out in their 4 wins. KD’s had the same especially in 2018 avg 29 to Curry’s 28. Now, you might say he doesn’t matter but when KD tried to carry in 2014 he couldn’t. Now compare that to Kawhi’s 2019 run. Avg 29 to Pascal’s 20. A whole 9 point differential to LeBron’s 6-5-3 to KD’s 9-1. LeBron had the best team to win. Heat were a big 3. GSW were the best team with the best shooters in history. Kawhi had Lowry who registered zero points in game 1 Pascal who in game 7 kept passing up shots and FVV who showed up from Game 4 of Bucks series then didn’t show up in the finals till game 6. Kawhi kept hitting the daggers except in the finals. My point is 2018 LeBron was great but he didn’t win and he also had 2 game 7s with Oladipo who was third choice to Russell Westbrook in OKC and rookies Jaylen and Tatum in Boston and then went on to being swept. He lost game 1 to JR Smith’s error but a superstar like him gave up. That’s cowardice. LeBron had Wade, Bosh, Kyrie, Love and the one of the best 3 point shooters in Korver. KD had Steph, Klay, Draymond. Kawhi had Pascal, Lowry, Gasol, FVV. Kawhi’s playoff run was like a box of chocolates he never knew who was going to help him. Today it was FVV, tomorrow Ibaka, then Pascal. KD’s splash brothers showed up. LeBron’s Kyrie showed up, Wade showed up. Bosh, Love. Not just that, all were All-Stars in their own right and elite players. Kyle Lowry had a 5 time All-Star but he definitely isn’t and wasn’t to those elite players. None of KD’s or LeBron’s have ever been labelled chokers.Kyle Lowry has

Talk about this in 5 years. If the raptors haven’t won anything then you do numbers 2 and 3. He did carry as we could see. Game 7 Ibaka showed up but where was he for the whole series before 7? Kawhi hit a dagger in game 4 of that series too which tied the series. FVV didn’t show up in Game 3 of the Bucks series which was a do or die game. Kawhi played 52 minutes. Everyone showed up in Game 4 and FVV continued in game 5 and 6. Pascal showed up in game 1 of the finals. Game 2 Kawhi showed up and lost to a dagger from Iggy. Game 3 and 4 Kawhi said F that were gonna get two which he balled out in. Game 5 KD couldn’t miss. He left injured. Kawhi scored 10 straight points to close the game but Nick Nurse called a timeout and they lost. No one should bring the if KD played Toronto would have lost. Just 2 years prior Kawhi was 25 points up a healthy GSW. They Zaza’d him. In that game Kawhi was doing it on both ends. KD was on 13 points cos Kawhi was on him while Kawhi was on 26 points. When Klay got injured in game 6 he came back to make his free throws. Kawhi did the exact same when he got Zaza’d. KD and LeBron had a better supporting cast. Kawhi didn’t have the luxury to know which player will show up in the series. KD had that luxury of having the splash brothers and a mid-range guy in Livingston. LeBron had Kyrie, Kevin Love and sharp shooter in Korver. All these supporting cast for KD and LeBron were already made stars in their own right. They were all important before coming together. Pascal was just improving so was FVV. Ibaka was on his last legs. Gasol was basically traded for better pieces and Lowry was considered as a choker although not to the level of DeMar. Kawhi in 2017 was killing every damn team until he got hurt and basically the whole media took the side of the Spurs and Raptors also were fuming when DeMar was traded for him. Kawhi fucking carried and if anyone of you Raptors say he didn’t you will continue to be losers because you’re salty AF. Sure one man can’t do it all. It’s a team sport but every time it mattered only Kawhi showed up with a different player every time. Today Pascal tomorrow FVV next Ibaka next Lowry next Danny Green.

Kawhi also wanted to stay. He’s not a stat padder. He clearly says I just want to win. I don’t care about being the best player I want to be the best team. He went to Masai and asked for Paul George. He’s been asking for PG since he was at San Antonio. Masai looked at him and said nah you play basketball I will work on the trades. He saw Pascal’s progress and felt he should remain on the team. Kawhi has seen how Raptors took care of him but he also knows what it will take to win continuously. Kawhi kept OG cos he knew he was a treasure. Kept Gasol, Green cos they were treasures. He asked for PG and Westbrook for Pascal and Lowry. It’s tough but you’ve got two walking buckets when all else seem to fail. PG in Indiana was bucket Bucket. Raptors hasn’t convincingly beaten any of the best teams in the East except for Philadelphia. How did they lose those games? There was no one to get them buckets by creating their own shot in the clutch.

As much as hurt to see him go as a Raptors fan. What Kawhi provided for not just Raptor fans but Canadian sports fans in general was astonishing. He was nothing short of a beast and people can blab about “Kawhi/Lebron or Kawhi was lucky with his game 7 shot and Warriors injuries” the dude had a run for the ages and made history.

Thank you for a brilliant 11 months with the Raps. You’er always be welcomed back across the border with open arms.

Y’all think kwahi has a better career than KD? He has 2 finals MVP like KD and 2dopy..KD has MVP and 2 finals MVP.. But for 73 win warriors..KD has way more career points though
