We will see in the playoffs. The thing with Kawhi is that he is still elite on both ends if his degenerative knee can handle it. His huge hands and huge wingspan allow him to play elite defense still, even though he lost a bit of lateral quickness and explosion. If it was 2016-17 version of Kawhi pre Zaza, I would pick the Clippers to win it all, but now there are many question marks. 2016-17 Kawhi was able to play suffocating defense all game and still put 25-35 points on any given night and opponent. Now I think he cannot sustain to play defense on SGA or Ant or Luka/Lebron for a whole game. He can do it for stretches when the game is tight and focus on being 27-30ppg. That’s the only way. Asking him to be lockdown perimeter defender + help defender in the paint + offensive load is to much at this point I think, because of his degenerative knee. It can get inflamed at any moment I guess. Maybe I’m a bit pessimistic, but KL is my favourite player after Kobe and I was disappointed year after year..

The Clippers are in a really good place with Harden holding the fort and keeping the team in the hunt first half of the season, now they have a fully rested and healthy Kawhi post all star break and ready for the play offs. Thinking sixers hoped for the same thing with PG and Maxey but it just didn’t work out

I dont get the “two way player” narrative. There are two ways to the game, if you are the best at that. Then you ARE THE BEST PLAYER.
