We don’t really know that until they actually win something, which they still haven’t.

JWill is a prisoner of the movement. Saying things like Embiid is the most skilled center ever and that Shaq couldn’t guard him

    • wbf619

      March 3, 2022 at 11:38 am

What is underdiscussed and overlooked about Embiid is that he’s shot over 50% FG in his career once. That’s not great for a C if you ask me

    • Studio3JS

      March 3, 2022 at 11:45 am

@yungchris93 Do you mean baby Shaq? Lmfao you are aware prime Shaq made an all-defensive second team in 2000,2001, and 2003, right? If you’re going to talk about Hakeem and Shaq matching up in the finals, at least be man enough to bring up how Shaq wasn’t in his prime.

      March 3, 2022 at 12:25 pm

@Studio3JS that’s my biggest problem in nba community nobody brings up context

    • Nikki

      March 3, 2022 at 12:56 pm

@wbf619 you have to account for the fact that he also goes out to the perimeter more than most centers and shoots more midrange shots, and catch and shoot than most centers TS % I think is a better metric I am not arguing he’s better than shaq but simply looking @ Fg% doesn’t tell the whole story

    • Robbin Season

      March 3, 2022 at 3:08 pm

@wbf619 look at embiids shot selection and compare it to other centers…this isnt a hard concept to learn, the further you are from the basket the less shots you’ll make and embiid takes about as many perimeter shots as any center in NBA history

    curry , simmons , drummond >>>> Harden
    Nets won the trade

    • Taj

      March 3, 2022 at 3:07 pm

Harden puts up more stats than all of them combined 😂

    • JoeE

      March 3, 2022 at 4:35 pm

@jso416 Again… You’re relying in a comment section of a Nets fan that is talk, talk , talking… and it was a horrible take to begin with. That opposes your original comment, it doesn’t validate it. Had it been a Sixers fan saying “We won the trade, we’re winning the title” then your comment would make sense. Also, I don’t think you’ll see too many Philadelphia fans crying this postseason. The reason Philadelphia hasn’t had postseason success is because they previously had Ben Simmons on the roster. Ben is a great player in the regular season but when it’s the postseason and basketball is played in the halfcourt he becomes a detriment the team. You’ll learn all about it if he actually suits up this season. And that’s a big “if”

    • jso416

      March 3, 2022 at 5:55 pm

@JoeE Not a horrible take at all, it’s s factual take. Now please tell me, when the Sixers lose again this postseason will the excuse now be it’s because you have James Harden on the roster? 😄

    • JoeE

      March 3, 2022 at 7:25 pm

@jso416 🤣🤣🤣 that’s the funniest thing you said today! Drum,Ben and Seth is factually better than Harden… It’s an opinion not fact but whatever bro. Whatever happens I keep this thread in mind. I won’t duck you if I’m wrong. Don’t know about the chip but I’ll eat humble pie if the Nets go further than the 6ers

    • jso416

      March 3, 2022 at 7:33 pm

@JoeE No, Sixer fans being notoriously known for being big talkers in the regular season and known losers in the postseason is a fact. I believe in the long run the trade will be better for the Nets. I’m not sure if the Nets have enough time to develop chemistry to win the chip this year, but they will be a serious threat next year and probably once again the odds on favorite. The Sixers are a sure shot 2nd or 3rd round out in the East this year. I’ve seen Harden’s game up close and personal on a nightly basis. He will not deliver a championship for the Sixers as a 1st or even a 2nd option.

@ZExude – Why weirdos start name calling when someone has a legit point?…Philly hasn’t proven anything yet😂

  9. BeatAccounts

    March 3, 2022 at 11:35 am

Harden did the same thing with the nets when he got here and he even did this with the rockets just wait till the playoffs come hopefully Joel doesn’t break down and hardens hamstring doesn’t start bothering him again because I wanna see a fully healthy Philly vs a fully healthy and available nets

    • jso416

      March 3, 2022 at 2:17 pm

Exactly James Harden is a regular season stat machine just like Russel Westbrook because he is very ball dominant. Problem is, the half court ball stopping style of play that Harden utilizes does not work in the playoffs against Elite teams.

    • Mikel Moon

      March 3, 2022 at 6:30 pm

@jso416 – That’s not true. Harden plays well (if not better) in the half court in the playoffs. That’s when teams ramped up their double-teams, triple-teams, shades, and traps on him, which left a few teammates open. Now, Harden is playing, as a 2nd option, with a dominant big man, which will makes his game more potent in the playoffs because much less double-teams, triple-teams, shades, and traps will be on him – and that’s just Embiid. Opponents will need to worry about Maxey and Tobias too.

    • jso416

      March 3, 2022 at 2:20 pm

It’s because he did get robbed. If Harden really wanted to play in Philly so badly, Morley could have just waited until the offseason and try to acquire him for nothing.

    • Taj

      March 3, 2022 at 3:03 pm

@jso416 why wait a year when Embiid is having an mvp season right now?

RJ Barret was going off, on like an all-nba level for most of the game? This is the nba sometimes even a guy like RJ can give you a tough out! That’s what happened

Stephen a smith straight turned his back on 76ers 😂😂 and hopped on the Nets bandwagon. He’s looks at Harden different and kinda wants them to lose so it can prove his Nets case. & Everytime embiid plays the Nets or Bucks he destroys them but He never mentioned that 😂😂😂

  17. Lynn Dorsette

    March 3, 2022 at 12:18 pm

Didn’t the Philadelphia 76ers beat Milwaukee without Harding. I believe Philly would do great against stiffer competition Steve A

    • jso416

      March 3, 2022 at 2:13 pm

Don’t mean much to be honest. Brooklyn beat Milwaukee at home with no Durant or Simmons.

    • Lynn Dorsette

      March 3, 2022 at 4:02 pm

@jso416 you are right I am a sixers fan with harden Maxie is looking good now we can get Harris to score more consistent will be fine

Sixers fans need to relax. The Sixers beat Minnesota coming off back to back games and an awful Knicks team that the Nets beat without KD, Ben or Kyrie. Let’s see how the Sixers look against the Miami Heat in a few more days.

    • Taj

      March 3, 2022 at 3:05 pm

Minnesota just came off a back to back and beat the warriors. Y’all really be saying anything to discredit the Sixers

    • jso416

      March 3, 2022 at 5:57 pm

@Taj They beat the Warriors with no Clay Thompson, no Iguadala, and no Draymond Greene. Try again 😄.

    • Taj

      March 3, 2022 at 7:22 pm

@jso416 a week before that they beat the grizzlies and they’re 3rd in the west. The wolves aren’t a bad team

Stephen A. was all over the TV after the trading claiming it was the worst trade in Philly sports history. So he’s more interested in trying to back up his hot take than giving objective opinions.

    March 3, 2022 at 4:12 pm

“Playing down to the competition” is one of the dumbest takes I’ve ever heard, but I love it just because it triggered SAS’ pain
