Jonathan Kuminga has arrived. Everyone wanted Davion Mitchell when we had the 7th pick and when we selected Kuminga I WAS THRILLED. He’s been better than Mitchell (at least now imo). Real fans would want to keep him. Just because he’s playing doesn’t mean we’re increasing his trade value if you think that then you’re truly lost. We’re not trading for a 35 year old Jimmy Butler or maybe even Vooch. They can’t really make a move.

Kuminga last 4 games : 27.0 ppg 8.3 rpg 3.0 apg and 55% FG / 33% 3 PT / 72% FT splits in 32 minutes.
Kuminga when playing 30 minutes this season (5 games) : 28.2 ppg 8.0 rpg 2.6 apg and 53% FG / 38% 3 PT / 65% FT splits.
Kerr didn’t play Kuminga 30 minutes in a game until December 5th which was game #21 of this season.
Kuminga when playing 30+ minutes in his NBA career (39 games) : 20.9 ppg 5.8 rpg 2.4 apg and 55% FG / 42% 3 PT / 72% FT splits.
When Kuminga plays 30+ minutes and he isn’t yo-yoed with his on court playing time he performs really well and scores at a great efficiency too. But the huge issue has been he’s only played 30+ minutes in 39 out of a possible 240 games in his NBA career or just 16% of the time.
I can only imagine where Kuminga would be as a player developmentally if he were allowed to consistently play starter’s minutes from the very beginning of his career without him worrying about getting benched for even DNP’ed if he makes the normal mistakes all young players make in their first couple of NBA seasons.

Notice Kuming does 90% of his shots below 3 pointers. The others on GSW should do this and they will win more games. Hield, Wiggins, and Curry were shooting only around 12% combined. STOP SHOOTING 3 pointers as you are shooting so badly, just give it in to the paint or shoot from 10 feet or less and GSW will win 70% more games.
