Maybe Tatum, Brown, Smart, and Walker are not as good as we think they are.

Marcus Smart is by far the best passer/playmaker on the team. He looks like Magic Johnson out there some nights. He is known for defense but his initiating the offense is good for 40 of the Celtics offense every night between points, assists, and hockey assists as well as his forced turnovers and transition offense started by his defense. Of all their players he’s the 1 guy that without him they fall apart and we’re seeing it right now, not to mention that without him Grant Williams and Carson Edwards both get more minutes they shouldn’t and both guys are 6 inches too short for their position and both are under-athletic for the NBA.

Max is right. Could have had Drummond or turner to solidify front court. But rather hang on to picks

They went to the 2018 ECF. took Lebron and Cavs to game 7 with Tatum Brown Horford Smart and Rozier.

Brad has been gifted with good TALENT. It has been more Talent than COACHING that has lead to the Celtics success.

Mark Jackson and Chauncy Billups are available. They need a coach that has played the game at a high level.

The problem with the celtics isn’t Brad Stevens. The real problem was having Kyrie Irving mentoring rookie Tatum and 2nd year Jalen Brown. Flat Earth Kyrie, the guy who just said the nba should be called “black kings who built the league ” was mentoring these 2 at a young age. That is the problem. Only fix is to surround these guys with intense ex players like Kevin Garnett. These 2 play like they don’t care, no love for the game. That explains why they choke every time they make the playoffs. Marcus Smart leads by playing intense defense. But it’s not enough for these guys. Kyrie definitely hurt their future by being there.

so was ESPN saying this when they in their 3rd conf final in 4 yrs just a few months ago – then you lose your max player for 2 month, anoother max player to FA and your 1st team all defense player for a month and your best player got Covid and oh no normal training camp which is when the coach make the biggest difference on the team, and the conclusion is the team need a new voice, this is why ppl hate espn and SAS always hated Steven cause he was the young midwestern white guy who came in and replaced a seasoned black coach, he has take numerous shot at him over the years, not shocked at all by the latest….while unfortunately to all the screamers, Steven isnt going anywhere and this team will improve significantly after all star break with Smart and Langford back in the lineup and Kemba can find decent level

    Reasons in order⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

    1. No height (6’11 or higher for starting and bench centers)

    2. Reduction of ball movement (Utah Jazz is hot for a reason)

    3. Bench is mediocre.

    4. Kemba Walker did NOT bring it in the ECF nor now.
