Jaylen is on a much better team and much deeper team. McCain is being asked to be the go to guy due to injuries and lack of talented depth. Different roles

This kid is a 6’8″ 2-way wing who made the right decision staying 2 extra years in College. Clearly knows his role, & knows how to make very fast reads at the NBA Level

(which you would want to see from a 21 yr old.)

Can catch n shoot the 3 & clearly knows how to create space on the perimeter. He has very sneaky strength & athleticism & isnt useless much off the ball, as he always finds where he needs to be. He is gonna have a long career.

Despite the highlights he never settles for threes & puts his head down when it’s not falling.

That being said, if he masters that floater? That would make him one of the highest commodities in this league. Once he becomes that hypothetical Elite of the Elite 3 & D I see him becoming a much much MUCH more dangerous Derrick White with just as important of a role on a serious squad

in 2024, a forward with 3s is the kind of player every team wants. He never tries anything he is not good at, always staying in his comfort zone and rhythm. As a Grizz fan, I feel happy.

People already said how advanced this guy is compared to other rookies, I don’t have to mention it. But what sticks out to me is his lack of emotion… Excitement would be the right word. This kind of player is just brutal, ruthless, very Kwahi Leonardi like. No celebrations at all… Absolute machine. Gotta respect it.
