No one had Knicks getting past the second round. Now Thibs is in the hot seat after they exceeded expectations?

    • @blairbryan4040

      June 2, 2025 at 2:20 pm

Nobody said that. It was a 3 horse race when the playoffs began. Nobody expected the pacers to be there, though

      June 2, 2025 at 2:23 pm

@@blairbryan4040literally not one professional sports analyst had the Knicks beating the Celtics. Not one.
It was Celtics and Cavs east finals lock

Thibs is loyal to Brunson. Brunson will be a dribble too much shoot first and second then sloppy pass third to a turnover point guard.

Thibs really said β€˜what’s a bench?’ during the playoffs.

And it got him to the ECF.

@@johnbrown757yea but we would have had a better chance of clenching the conference if we had some of our bench more active in games 3 and 6

Love his intensity, but his stubbornness with rotations is holding the Knicks back sometimes

Say what you want about Thibs, but the man coaches. Dude squeezes every ounce of effort out of his players.

People say the greatest what if players are Derrick Rose, Grant Hill, Tracy McGrady, Penny Hardaway, but Jason Williams is up there too. There was a time nobody could do anything with him.

    June 2, 2025 at 7:37 pm

They’re not good enough yet, you don’t get rid of coaches that got the best out of his players. Most players are on that team are hitting their best numbers ever and over achieving. Bridges didn’t deliver. OG was good not great. We’re missing one piece at the starting line up and some good vets off the bench.

Entirely toooo much was given up for Bridges . This resulted in an anemic bench. I know Bridges was a Villanova guy but a better move should have been made by management. I’m just saying.
