Published

on

Rachel Nichols, Kevin Arnovitz and Chiney Ogwumike react to Kawhi Leonard’s comments about Michael Jordan after Utah Jazz vs. LA Clippers, and whether MJ is the right comparison for the two-time NBA Finals MVP. They then (2:54) debate whether the Philadelphia 76ers or the Minnesota Timberwolves had the better win while Joel Embiid and Karl-Anthony Towns were suspended.

    1. Jordan
    2. Kawhi
    3. Kobe

Understand that in terms of comparisons to Jordan, the only reason Kobe gets #3 is only because there is no one else who qualifies. I’d rather have Kobe as #81

Kawhi will when he plays is like MJ plus his midrange game. A lot of you youngsters need to watch basketball 🏀 in the 90’s and see how MJ took over games in his prime!

Oh please. First LeBron and now Kawhi. MJ is above those two by miles.

6-0 ( 165 ) Iverson was better than Kobe in the Finals Nba 2001.

Kawhi just plays fundamental offense, his his shots, and had instincts on defense that maybe 2 or 3 other guys have and he’s like the only one at his size with those kind of instincts. On defense guys like Pat Beverly are aggressive defenders and pesky, guys like Marcus Smart are very physical with great hands and both have incredible instincts, but Kawhi has the instincts, the size, the hands, the footwork, and when he’s on the floor he’s not a negative on offense like many top defenders tend to be, but not always are great defenders poor offensive players though but few are so good on offense like Kawhi that they could be all stars even without being good defenders whereas Kawhi would be an all NBA player even if he was a James Harden level defender.

Any player who does load management should never be compared to Michael Jordan.

Bring back 90s NBA hand-checking again and comparison will be more accurate.

I’m not a fan of Jordan lovers but this is an insult. Kawhi doess’t even have 1 regular season MVP and he’s resting after 4 games.

In todays game as of 2019/20 yes its Kawhi no question and it proves that MJ would be dominant in this game but in the grand scheme its Kobe no doubt.

Kawhi is Pippen on defense and 70% of Michael on offense

Nobody but Kobe is MJ Esque. Everybody doesn’t need to be kompared to Jordan. Accept that LeBron is Magic 2.0 & Kawhi is what Pippen would be like in the league rn. Simple the narrative the media portrays is really cancerous for these fans thatre so fickle & bandwagon.

It’s weird. They don’t even mention how Kawhi works with Kobe in the off season. His game looks like the most efficient version of old man Kobe which was Kobe’s mature version of 2nd three peat MJ. Also Suns won so these guys just keep taking L’s. The one thing I will say is Kawhi’s huge hands do lend themselves to MJ pump fakes and ball control. Huge advantage.

I’d say he’s more of a scottie pippen then an MJ. Which Scottie was no joke neither so salute to Kawhi!!!
