Is guarding James Harden the blueprint to stopping Luka Doncic? | The Jump

Published

on

Jorge Sedano, Amin Elhassan and Scottie Pippen discuss how the LA Clippers might guard Luka Doncic in their game vs. the Dallas Mavericks, with Elhassan saying Doncic could be guarded similarly to the way Kawhi Leonard, Paul George & Co. defended James Harden of the Houston Rockets.

well, Luka fell back to earth last night after a good whipping by the Clippers. Luka missed a few lays up in the 1st qtr, and couldn’t make a 3 all night. oh well, next time.

Luka will get you eventually..his IQ is crazy ..one way or another he is going to be effective.. and if he develop a little bit his muscles and his defense… in a couple of years nothing will stop him.

This title isn’t that hard to understand. It’s kinda strange but it makes perfect sense although it’s a weird comparison. It makes it seem like James harden is easier to deal with

too be honest doncic has very good fundamentals in his game, which hard to guard as you dont know what hes gonna do next. if you watch his game hes always double teamed most the game. yet he will make assists and score in a very authentic way where it is not forced, scary thing is hes not in his prime yet.
