   Barkley is being emotional about Kidd saying to go at Mitchell. That’s what Mavs want, for Mitchell to be emotional on defense and be spent by 4th quart

   When your “ best player “ is getting picked on on consecutive possessions your team has no hope. If Donavan doesn’t want to be a great defender then they can switch the whole roster – it won’t matter – it’s all on the players getting better – John Thompson said it best “ Teams get better when the best players get better “ that hasn’t happened

    I think Chuck misread what Kidd meant when he said attack Mitchell ever possesion. It’s a very normal tactic to make superstars work on defense whether they’re good defenders or not. It tires them and gives them a chance to get in foul trouble.
