This is a selective memory because Jason tatum always struggles when he plays Ben simmons and so does trae young. Ben simmons did not fold on the defensive side of the ball he folded on the offensive side because in reality he should be a third or 4th option scoring wise but he has always played great defense against the leagues best. Near the second half of that series trae young was shooting horrible.

Ben Simmons was top 3 in the DPOY race last year plus he’s the 3rd scoring option so he can use most of his energy defensively.

Perk gets too much airtime. I like my guy but I think the podcast is where he’ll shine. His takes are more feelings then facts.

I’m with KP embiid covered up for Ben Simmons alot. He was always overrated defensively he’s very good but don’t act like Tony Allen or sum. But kp tripping Simmons did slow down young

Kendrick Perkins just runs his mouth if he doesn’t like the team, Trae Young shot 20% from The field in game seven n shot at 18% from three so kp know ur numbers bro! Because literally when it counted the most he shut him down

    April 11, 2022 at 8:44 pm

I’m a sixers fan and I hated the way Ben Simmons acted this season but Ben did a good job containing Trae Young the whole series… The problem was his offensive mindset… he looked like he didn’t want the ball and just stood out there… but in the defensive end he was awesome

  23. Adam R

    April 11, 2022 at 9:05 pm

Tell me Perk shouldn’t work at ESPN, without telling me he shouldn’t be working at ESPN.

  24. JAWS0524

    April 11, 2022 at 9:23 pm

Y’all kill me acting like Tatum, vanvleet, Luka, young etc. don’t struggle against Ben when he plays them just because of the current situation he’s in lol. This social media era different yo…everyone care everything outside of the actual profession. Can’t wait for Ben to get back on the floor and block out the pettiness.
