If I were Chris Paul, there’s no way I’d take less money than I’m owed – Tracy McGrady | The Jump

Published

on

Rachel Nichols, Amin Elhassan and Tracy McGrady head to “Crunch Time,” discussing the Toronto Raptors’ 40 assists vs. the Charlotte Hornets (and Pascal Siakam’s continued great play), plus Sacramento Kings wing Buddy Hield being fined for kicking a ball into the stands — bringing back memories of T-Mac’s infamous punt. They then (1:32) discuss Chris Paul in the wake of Oklahoma City Thunder vs. LA Clippers, and whether his games against LAC and the Los Angeles Lakers will serve as a trade showcase for OKC. Finally (3:41) they react to Anthony Davis’ comments roasting Russell Westbrook for his fashion sense.

Taking a pay cut doesn’t guarantee you’ll get a ring, especially at this stage of his career. Imagine if you took a pay cut, then still didn’t get a ring. I’m sorry but if I know I’m already a HOFer, first ballot at that, I’m taking the money
