Pat Riley asked D Wade for discounts for years and when Wade thought it was time for a proper contract, Riley basically told him to kick rocks so he had to go to Chicago. Lesson is, squeeze these organizations for all you can because to them all players are trading chips. The only organizations known to give out “loyalty contracts” are the Lakers and Mavericks. Till then, approach the situation like it was the Isaiah Thomas case.

This is also very much about Jimmy’s availability and attitude in the regular season. Dude has been freeloading for years and he is now being held accountable for it. Pat Riley said as much after last season. No more freeloading. You are not going to get paid missing that many games and we keep seeing the same bs. So goodbye. Nobody is going to pay Jimmy anywhere close to that player option so good luck.

If Riles is trading Jimmy… then Bam needs to be traded as well. Bam is the real Win. Heat wanna reset… then clean slate. 55 mil is too much. For anyone no matter who you are. I wanna see the Superstar that works the deal and sees the 15 man roster and says “I want one 15th” cause that’s fair.
