   Stephen A Smith is part of the problem when it comes to player empowerment in the NBA. Why do the Heat need to change their culture to attract players who don’t have the mindset that they want? Why are we continuing to pander to this soft generation of players who pout and throw tantrums at the slightest bit of adversity despite making more money than ever before? If you have a culture, stick to it, plenty of teams operate so desperately they end up giving out supermaxes to bums.

   Players do look at how Riley treats stars. He even did Wade dirty when he wanted an extension. Where’s the loyalty or is that only expected from the players?

     Pat is really the entitled brat. Jimmy asked for help seasons ago and pat did nothing. He could have traded him then and get value back but now the whole team chemistry is off and they still finna be a trash team. That’s an L because they not gonna get anyone to come there. You casuals are slow thinking running a plantation is a good thing????

    I’m not naive, I know subjects like these draw in the ratings. And while it’s true I don’t watch First Take from beginning to end, when I see NBA topics discussed it’s almost always Lebron this or Boston and New York that. How about throwing in a discussion about the Houston Rockets. True they don’t have any known superstars but they currently have the second best record in the Western Conference. Just two years removed from being one of the worst teams into one of the best they deserve a little bit of national love.

    butler is making $56 mill this season, $49 mill next season, under contract and sitting on miami’s south beach when not scheduled. they need tti boot him out so he can get a real job!

    Who da hell are you gonna find better than jimmy butler? A rare proven 2 way player and leader that is well documented to perform like a hall a famer when it matters most. And unselfish superstar that always near the top of the nba in offensive efficiency rating year after year. A guy that although is 35 yr old, is still improving his already godly offensive efficiency numbers. A guy that usually scores around 23 a game but can easily score 28 ppg at the expense of his teammates if he was selfish and had a hidden agenda. A guy who took a “has been” bottom feeding franchise to 2 nba finals in four years. A guy who was a 3pointer away from taking the heat to 3 NBA FINALS in 4 years!!! This isnt a fairy-tale. Bam and tyler have grown immensely and are much better players now but Jimmy bulter did all this with a much less skilled version of those 2 and role players. With all that being said, My question still stands. Who the fk are the miami heat going to find thats better than jimmy butler?!?!?!?!?!?!?

    It hurts as a Heat Fan to see frustration on both sides. It reflects on the Court. The team isn’t as cohesive when one of your star scoring player’s are disgruntled with Management. It doesn’t give off good vibes. It’s demoralizing for the whole team. Steven A may be right about the Generation Gap, but at the End of the day, it’s a Team Sport. My Coach used to say there’s no I in Team, but when I was playing with Jeff Lucus,Jerry Lucas’s Nephew, I said, “but there is a Me!” I got Benched for the whole first half of the next game! The Coach has to get his respect and in Professional Sports upper Management no doubt will get their respect too!
