@BBALLBREAKDOWN watch this and put brake pad on your mouth bringing the narrative Dallas played bad.
They played bad because they are outsmarted. Take note of that Celtics hater.

nba is MULTI MULTI BILLION DOLLAR CORPORATION. HOW IS THE MAVS COACHING STAFF GETTING COOKED BY SUCH EASY LOOKS LIKE THIS. WHY IS LUKA ON JB.

IF YOUR WHOLE GAMEPLAN IS TO FUNNEL PLAYERS INTO LIVELY/GAFFORD AND THEY ARE CONSTANTLY NOT ABLE TO PLAY THAT ROAMER POSITION…. SUB OR SCHEME DIFFERENTLY

      June 24, 2024 at 1:49 pm

Implementing such scheme would recquire to actually bench Luka

      June 24, 2024 at 3:14 pm

That’s on Kidd. Besides an few adjustments and game 4 he really got out coached. Gave minutes to fuckin Tim hardway jr.

I can admit I was a Boston hater the whole season, but I have to give their props they were the most dominant team all year and they played perfect basketball, so my hats off to Boston

I love those ghost screens that Jrue would set. It wasnt just they out talented wveryone. They outthought and out collaborated everyone. Hell they were extremely disciplined too…none of the foul baiting by Dallas and Luka in particular amounted to much. Some idiot casuals will blame refs….praise discipline and film study instead. Blame Dallas for not really changing even that stupid foul tactic up.

3:50 really interesting statistics here, Mavericks love those corner 3s and the fact that Boston dropped their percentage down to only 6% is insane, it took Dallas completely out of their comfort zone

    • @Hawkwinter01

      June 24, 2024 at 2:44 pm

Yeah, and it wasn’t just the Mav’s that got taken out of their comfort zone, the other teams the Celtics faced had similar problems. I have no doubt that other teams will be studying this during the off season. I hope they don’t, though. Go Celtics! 🍀

I heard a lot of comments about how the Celtics play “boring” basketball. But the bottom line is, it’s only boring if the only thing you can focus on while watching the game is the ball itself, all the off-ball movement, defensive switches and sets, and manipulation of their opponent is like poetry in motion for real basketball fans.

You can really see the Pep Guardiola influence in Joe’s detailed and systematic approach of the game. Pep changed football forever, and we might see a massive change in the basketball landscape with Joe.

    June 24, 2024 at 2:13 pm

Joe really did implement some very unorthodox strategies that i didn’t even notice watching the game

Psycho Joe got that Rain Man ’tism

    • @SO-jp6gh

      June 24, 2024 at 2:28 pm

Yep, Rain Man in a good way. Some people are luckily born gifted with high analytical skills.

You want to know what is hiliaorus… I did this in NBA 2K the other night. It actually fucking worked. My opponent didn’t know what to do. So basically he isolated the entire game. I could tell he was not use to playing like that and just wanted to get to his pick and roll.

      June 24, 2024 at 3:20 pm

Yea I learn from playing Madden. That most players unless high class professional gamers rarely ever scheme or rely on bugs/glitches. For example I got dominated in the first half in passing game by an high overall quarterback by running man and blitz so I adjusted to zones with few blitz in between. He had 217 yards in just the first half in the second half and ended with 290.

You can say what you want but you better say that Joe Mazulla is a HELLUVA coach. Just look at how in sync the players are. Read, react, execute & most of all, be unselfish enough to make that pass

  15. @macs8152

    June 24, 2024 at 2:20 pm

    Mavericks suck ass

  16. @lousgrandcrew

    June 24, 2024 at 2:24 pm

Thank you for this one! Finally some credit to the Celtics coaching and tactics and as to why JT never went off to splash big points. It was a well-oiled machine that exploited other teams not by sheer talent but Joe Mazzulla outcoached everyone this year. A team sport master class where neither JT nor JB needed to have combined 80 point games.

    June 24, 2024 at 2:29 pm

this is why 2022 gsw are better than 2024 mavs

steph and his teammates all all stepping up while the mavs only has luka and kyrie

plus luka is terrible in 3 point shots.

    • @Greatness4Amoment4Alifetime

      June 24, 2024 at 2:42 pm

This Boston team is head and shoulders better than the 22 Boston team that’s a bad comparison this team is also smarter great duo’s fill each other’s holes it seems JT and JB have figured that out in the playoffs and stopped playing the same game if they have and don’t let the media split them up they have a chance to be special as a team for a long time to come.

  18. @phanessed5556

    June 24, 2024 at 2:40 pm

This is what they should be doing on ESPN. None of the bs they’re doing rn for clicks.

  19. @tuskybarn

    June 24, 2024 at 2:48 pm

Why don’t other teams just outsource their tanking and major paydays while building a squad of nothing but high IQ, high talent, all situation players that can shoot and defend? Are they stupid?

  20. @rizkuda

    June 24, 2024 at 2:49 pm

The crazy part is that besides game 1. That was Boston worst shooting spree from three had they been average this series would been over and done with.

  21. @rizkuda

    June 24, 2024 at 2:50 pm

Bro looks at the broadcaster face as he was explained thier process. They looked dumbfounded as kids.

  22. @jj7823

    June 24, 2024 at 2:52 pm

    1. this shows less about how smart Boston is and more about how dumb Minn was.
    2. Most of the “genius” of the defense was Jrue and White knowing where to go,
    3. If the Mavs had made some of those open threes, on the road, this would have been a longer series.
