Kaspras with a good showing compared to his slump before. I still have questions as he’s more of a volume shooter than an effficient one. I see him more as a connective guard due to his turnover issues and lack of rim pressure and his passing delivery/accuracy can be a bit off. However, when he’s hitting he’s really good. He’s got good touch around the basket, knows how to relocate for open 3s, and for the most part he kept the TOs down and made some good reads. That step back 3 has been a staple for a while. Very unsure about his defense. He tries and he’s strong, but he struggles to move his feet and isn’t going to be a good defender at the POA, nor switch. Has to be hidden on weaker players. And Kobe bufkin. Finally. I’ve been high on him for so long. 6’5 6’9 wingspan and can play both backcourt positions, and is a great slasher who can use both hands. His shot seems more smoother since last year, and he’s got a D’lo esque pump fake and a pace and craftiness to his game. He’s a good not great playmaker and that’s fine, Trae young is there for that. Defensively he’s quick, not the strongest but he’s strong enough, and plays with a good motor and his screen navigation is good. Earlier I thought his 3pt shooting could falter, but he’s really gotten better at that now. I’m curious as to see what usage he’ll get in Atlanta. I think he can a secondary playmaker who makes the hard reads every now and then.

His turnovers are the result of a mechanical issue

Bufkin is the guard the hawks have been missing behind trae and hopefully from now on out he can stay healthy, a guard that can finish through contact, get to the line, defend, and set the floor is exactly what we need when trae goes out and I think he’s going to fill that role in really well. Asa is going to get better with time, needs to get stronger but love the activeness and aggression on the glass and defense, also shoutout Nikola he looked good today

Totally agree! Bufkin’s ability to absorb contact and still finish is a game changer for Atlanta’s second unit. I also liked Asa’s defensive hustle — once he builds that strength, he’s gonna be a problem on both ends. And yeah, Nikola surprised me today, quietly effective! 🔥 Who do you think will break out first this season?

Bufkin went off tonight but honestly his decision-making still needs work. Meanwhile, Jakučionis plays way beyond his years — did anyone else notice how well he spaced the floor, not just the points? 🔥 Who do you think has the higher long-term ceiling?

Kasparas is still trash. He has no iso game. His handles are weak. Defrnse is horrible. Bench PG on a bad team at best.

He literally snapped 4 times in an ISO, 2 times scored inside, 1 stepback three and one assist after penetration…defense isnt great but he competes and gets steals and rebounds…
