The Hawks are just making the simplest of mistakes. I learned in high school basketball. Fake a pass, make a pass. Running and jumping in the air when a guy catches a pass never works. How many times has someone blocked that shot? Very little, so when they fake the shot and drive to the basket the person that jumped looks stupid. NBA players don’t know how to close out, I learned that in Jr college ball. Nickeil and Jalen with 9 (TO) out of 14 team turnovers is terrible. My coach would have me running laps. They need to have a rule 2 laps around the court for every turnover you make in the game. You are either gonna better your cardio or stop turning the ball over. Zacc had a good game KP did not 2-12, I would get Asa in there more.

@TheSirMaam I actually wanted to be a coach, but joined the military instead and didn’t look into it, but now I would like to just give pointers about little small things about the game that players sometimes overlook instead of coaching.

@DawwgHouse Pro players don’t even stick to the fundamentals of the game anymore. At this point, most people that has ever played high school basketball to at least the college level knows that the NBA is cooked. The refs don’t call travels and they are watching it happen and they are super sensitive and quick to call a tech. Stevie Wonder can even see that. So yeah most people do know more.

RJ makes all the difference for just how efficient Toronto is. Soon as he came back, you see the difference.
And these last two games with Atlanta minus Trae shows exactly why it’s not as simple as “they win some games when he’s not there”. The Hawks looked absolutely lackluster, discombobulated, confused & everything in between out there without their true number one scoring option. Man, I really don’t know what Atlanta should & can do though. It’d be different if they had a guard like Lamelo or Ja Morant. At least those guys are lanky, even if they don’t have boulders in they pocket. I’ll take a tall guard who has an offensive game, rather than a shorter one who can really put points up. I feel bad for Hawks fans though.
