And I love how they prolonged the MVP award out as long as possible to make it look like he didn’t deserve it when they should’ve gave the award out in the first round of the playoffs like they do every single year…. The NBA is not slick

  29. Moi Meme

    September 19, 2020 at 1:41 pm

Overrated. I bet that in 10 or so years, when he’ll start to lose his athleticism (aka the only thing that allows him to dominate) everybody will be like «why did we gave so many awards to this guy already ?»

Ya’ll have to remember how unimpactful Giannis was when he was skinny and couldn’t physically dominate. This guy does not have exceptional basketball skills. He just have a god given size and athleticism. Once that’ll be gone, he wont be able to dominate anymore.

  30. IG: Kingfritz11

    September 19, 2020 at 1:42 pm

Well deserving of this award.. I would’ve voted for Lebron (my opinion) but it does him no justice presenting this award this late when he’s not even in the playoffs still. They should present the award during the first round of the playoffs so folks don’t try to diminish the achievement based on playoff performance because it is a regular season award. The criteria does vary year to year but nonetheless, Giannis had a great season for his team.

  31. IG: Kingfritz11

    September 19, 2020 at 1:45 pm

The NBA should have OPOY like the NFL for great stats seasons and make MVP as a different criteria. And if you can win all 3 or 2 of the 3 then you had a phenomenal season but mvp shouldn’t only be a stats award when they want it to be

    Giannis 2020 MVP
    All NBA 1st team
    All NBA 1st defensive team
    All start Captain
    DPOY
The bucks had the best record in the regular season
The bucks were also the best defensive team for the entire regular season for the second season in a row.
He had a historical season by finishing with the HIGHEST Player Efficiency Rating of all time.
Giannis averaged 29.5 points per game while playin less than 30 minutes a game which is insane.
He was 5th in the NBA in scoring.
2nd in rebounding and he is the 71st player in minutes per game. The amount of damage he does in such little time is incredible. No one in NBA history has average his overall stat line for pts rbs and asst in a season.
He’s now the third player ever to win MVP and DPOY in the same season!!!

Golden State Warriors “star” Stephen Curry says fans who can’t accept NBA players voicing their opinions on social justice issues should stop watching the NBA.
What are NBA “stars” like Curry, Lebron, Harden voicing? BLM
What are some of the beliefs of the Liberal Democrat DNC, George Soros sponsored BLM movement?
    1. “We seek to disrupt and dismantle the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure.” — so, they are against a mother, father and children family house hold
    2. Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors said in recent interview, that her fellow organizers are “trained Marxists” – with an effort to destroy America and American culture.
    3. BLM are against America and Americans Alicia Garza is behind the group Black Futures Lab, a sub-group of BLM which is backed by the Chinese Progressive Marxist Association.

The proclamation of MVP is too early. Maybe the media wait for those who will be the champion teams and they declare to decide who will be the final MVP

  77. Henri LeMieux

    September 21, 2020 at 11:32 am

Let’s just get some things clear… I am not about to make the argument that Giannis is better than Jordan, so don’t get it twisted, I am just making the case to lay off “Playoff Giannis”

Michael Jordan won MVP in the 1987-1988 season, his team was also eliminated 4-1 in the 2nd round. The difference here was that Jordan was averaging well over 40 minutes a game. If we remove the injured game from Giannis, he was averaging roughly 33.5 minutes a game. Let’s break down the numbers now: (I will ignore the game Giannis went out with an injury since he only played 11 minutes and left early whereas Jordan played all his games)

    PPG:
    Jordan: 36.3
    Giannis: 27.6

    RB:
    Jordan: 7.1
    Giannis: 15.0

    AST:
    Jordan: 4.7
    Giannis: 6.4

    STL:
    Jordan: 2.4
    Giannis: 0.6

    BLK:
    Jordan: 1.1
    Giannis: 0.9

    FG%:
    Jordan: 53.1%
    Giannis: 54.3%

So Jordan averaged many more minutes per night, many more points per game and better stat-sheet defensive numbers, but Giannis clearly dominated in rebounding with a slight edge in assists. If we were to remove the 3-pt. shots from Giannis’s FGs he was clearly the more efficient shooter (I only say that because Jordan took 3 3-pt. shots total in his 10 playoff games, whereas Giannis took 39 in his 8 healthy games), but clearly Jordan had a much more effective jump shot whereas Giannis’s game is dominant around the rim with a progressive dropoff the further out he goes.

So for people arguing that LeBron deserved MVP simply because his team is still in the playoffs, are you prepared to argue that James Worthy deserved MVP of the 1987-1988 season over Jordan? Worthy was the finals MVP that season, so clearly he should get the MVP over Jordan based on your logic.

  78. Marios Paparizos

    September 21, 2020 at 12:46 pm

Thank God Giannis gets the MVP and we can watch amazing highlights instead some boring 3s and jumpers

    September 22, 2020 at 8:52 am

Giannis should go next nba season first for the championship no matter what! And also to become the first player to win back to back Defensiveman of the year and to be the second to win three MVP’s in a row after Bill Russell! What do you think about that? But he needs to improve even more if that is in Milwaukee or somewhere else! Upgrade except from the team the coaching staff. So they improve giannis game in the most important things in he’s game!
