To the few in the comment section who are saying this creates more racial tension, YOU are the one with the problem. When I was growing up in the 90s all the dolls were white with blonde hair. Now that dolls are of different skins tones, you find that racist?
If this is racist then Barbie is racist.

The doll is not exclusively for black kids, it just represents them.

ACTUAL kids get toys of all skins tones no matter what race they are. You will see a white kid with a black doll or otherwise because kids haven’t learned the racism that YOU are trying to teach them yet. YOUR cynical view of life is the problem not this child.

Lastly, I would kindly like to tell all of YOU to get a whole life to think that you TYPING a comment from your mom’s basement in your underwear is going to stop this kid and his mom from success.

I’m black and I think it’s gross how much they push racial representation on children. It enforces the idea that people can’t identify with people outside their own race.

When I was a kid I loved the ninja turtles, not because I was a turtle who knew karate, but I identify with the characters personalities and choices.

MLK said it best. Judge me based on the merit of my character not my skin tone.

Also there is a bad precedent in our community where are own use “blackness” to ensure product sales. For example their are SOOO many blacked owned clothing companies that use blackness to sell low quality products and it’s sickening.

To all the black people who think this is cool, how would you feel if a white kid came on to do the same thing.

Im black and my sister had a bunch of black baby dolls and barbies in 2002, so any argument that dolls have always been white will immediately be ignored by me.
