Published

on

Rachel Nichols, Ramona Shelburne and Chiney Ogwumike discuss a pair of Los Angeles Lakers stories: Dwight Howard looking resurgent, particularly in Lakers vs. Charlotte Hornets, which will help Anthony Davis later in the year; and the possibility that DeMarcus “Boogie” Cousins returns for LA during the playoffs.

I’m a huge Houston fan, and on the topic of Dwight Howard I have this to say – Dude was a beast when he was trying. But, when he had lots of moments where he just turned the passion off and wouldn’t even put his arms up on defense. He gets the hate he deserves because truth be told, he could be better than he is. I watched him lose us so many games at the free throw line, and I also watched him lose us so many games because he just doesn’t want to jump or go for blocks. He also won us games on big put backs and huge rebounds, but man was inconsistent and I can not respect that. At least James Harden is consistent with his bitching and moaning. I know what to expect from him. I also know he’s gonna give it 110% because he wants to win. I am just not convinced that Dwight ever wanted to win.

If Boogie does get to come back, who’s going to the odd man out? There’s bound to be one guy in their present line up since the Lakers definitely want to be a suitor for Igoudala’s services since they need an additional good wing defender. Plus, they already have an abundance of centers and Dwight is showing he’s a reliable asset especially at the defensive end that it would be such a waste to let him go.

Dwight is just rusty because he played only a handful of games last season. But he is healthy now. And of he can do this nightly it will significantly make the lakers even more dangerous

Dwight is a better center than AD, its plain and simple, once the lakers, lebron Vogel and media accept this, the lakers will be unstoppable, the clippers would die with rondo kuzma lebron james AD and dwight on the floor at the same time.

Ain’t that Moomoo said Dwight ain’t gonna sign with the Lakers ?

the funny thing is dwight never “SUCKED” he wasn’t the same yes but he still averaged around 17-19 points with 10 rebounds

Once Dwight, Davis, Lebron, Kuzma, Rondo and the rest of the Lakers roster would know and embrace their particular roles, it would be easier for the Lakers to win.
