You should also do game 5 of the 2014 finals and game 1 of the 2008 first round spurs vs suns. Also maybe that game in 2009 where Ginobili swatted a bat 🙂

Duncan is big slow and sloppy! Always felt his skill set was overrated. Yea hes a winner! Cant deny that! But as a big there was so many better players that dont get the credit he does because of championships. Chips dont make a player better than another. Duncan is lucky he was big… if he was smaller he wouldn’t do shit. That’s facts!

Jesus, this Pistons team is so limited offensively. They reaaaally turn it up on the defensive end, but damn….is their offense ugly or what. No idea how they played back to back finals and were this game 7 away from b2b titles.

If current new NBA players wants to learn of defense, this is the Finals game they should watch. This two teams not as offensive prowess but relied on their defense to set up their offensive plays. Great game 7 Finals game.

Nostalgia while on lockdown. I watched the Bulls championships playoffs, and now I’m doing my 2nd favorite team (maybe 1 1/2), the Spurs. I love that Pistons team. Delighted they were the defending champs. One of the top 7 game series you will ever see.

As a Spurs fan I was kinda hoping to face Miami that year. I had so much respect for the Pistons and Larry Brown and knew they were gonna be a tough one. Miami on the other hand I felt like the Spurs could’ve made easy work of in 2005 and 2006 had they made the Finals

Two great teams. Unfortunately, on the re-watch the NBA clearly instructed the officials to call fouls against the Pistons. Look at the cheap fouls against Billups, Hamilton, and McDyess in the first half. Love both teams, but if the NBA’s refs hadn’t been on the side of the Spurs, the Pistons MIGHT have had back to back titles.

      July 10, 2020 at 7:01 pm

If the refs hadn’t been biased for the Heat in 2013 the Spurs would’ve won that year too.
