Did the Pelicans blow it by not signing Brandon Ingram to an extension? | The Jump

Published

on

Rachel Nichols, Zach Lowe and Tracy McGrady play “Make or Miss,” discussing Notre Dame losing to Toledo on a “wedgie,” Jrue Holiday cooking Dario Saric in New Orleans Pelicans vs. Phoenix Suns, Carmelo Anthony waving off CJ McCollum during Portland Trail Blazers vs. Milwaukee Bucks, and JJ Redick and Brandon Ingram going off vs. PHX. They then (3:34) discuss whether the Pels blew it by not giving Ingram a contract extension after they got him from the Los Angeles Lakers in the Anthony Davis trade.

Typical. A new star emerges on a small market team and the media are already trying to lure him somewhere with more exposure.

@LastSaiyanLeft Caruso provides “hustle-man energy,” he has no position. ????????????
Caruso spent 80% of last season in the G-League, they had Brandon Ingram playing Emergency Replacement point guard even though Alex Caruso was available. Lakers need a carbon copy of Lou Williams.
Too many minutes for Lebron James, but he has no choice because the Lakers are missing a Lou Williams-type point guard = create your own offense OFF-THE-DRIBBLE.

First Rachel, Brandon’s Blood clout wasn’t in his Heart… It was in his Arm and Caused from his growth not a negative/deteriorating health issue

I’m not finna lie and not did my opinion change, that young core with the lakers didn’t do what they needed but that trade definitely gave them a boost in confidence so they’re doing better.

Nah,,, pelicans going to need to move Ingram for a player or players, Ingram numbers are fluff, cause when zion come in, he’s going to be the #1 … Ingram putting up great numbers but they still losing, it’s just not a good fit for either side.

i would do 3 years 45 million or 60 million 4 years….I don’t want to get in that 80 million dollar range because of his health issues 60 million is fair 45 million is short. 80 million is too much
