Imagine how different the world would be if professional basketball players didn’t arrive at arenas in suits

Stern was terrible. He was a disaster. The NBA should be much more successful if not for him.

Bo Rood Yeah you don’t know what you are talking about. It’s almost like you didn’t watch the video at all.

Why didn’t David stern kick Donald sterling out of the league when he was commissioner? (Serious question)

    • Wayne Egli

      January 2, 2020 at 9:10 pm

Simply put, he wanted an airtight case and did not have enough evidence to execute the necessary power play. Forcing an owner to sell is not the same as punishing a player. Plus owners have deep pockets, if Sterling’s wife does not side with NBA, Silver’s power play falls flat.

All the David Stern conspiracies right here. Add more that you know of.
    1. Made Jordan the best player for ratings.
    2. Made Jordan retire for gambling.
    3. Tim Donahue. Kings/Lakers game 7.
    4. Allowed Mavs to win title after Mark Cuban loaned NBA billions during economic crash.

    Rip David Stern

The 1985, 2011 and 2012 draft were all rigged tho

(Still an amazing commissioner tho, he made the NBA so much more international)

    • Des Mcmahon

      January 2, 2020 at 9:02 pm

Jew-bot Destroyer 777 At the time there was a huge crisis where small market teams felt they had lost all leverage and that stars were leaving small market teams for larger market. The year after Lebrons signs with Miami, the Cavs got the 1st pick and the year after CP3 demanded a trade to LA, the hornets/pelicans got the first pick

    • Robdoesitall

      January 2, 2020 at 9:02 pm

And dude totally suspended Michael Jordan for gambling! That baseball excuse was just a front. I see you Stern! RIP

I’ll never forget the accusations that he called every playoff game before it happened and told refs what to do…

@Alan Brown I’ll be honest I didn’t watch much basketball until AI came to the Nuggets, and they got robbed against the Lakers in the Western Finals. Hoping the smaller market teams like Suns and Nuggets will get their titles someday…

      January 3, 2020 at 2:24 am

@Some Person George Karl was a cancer to that team. Terrible coach. Kenyon Martin talks about him and what type of coaching style he had. That 05′ nuggets team was disrespectfully deadly. Too many weapons on Offense and Defense. I straight forgot about the whole Timmy situation until i saw Stern passed.

    • Some Person

      January 3, 2020 at 2:35 am

@Alan Brown I never thought Karl was a bad coach, he just couldn’t deal with personalities, and I hope you weren’t purposely making fun of his cancer with that joke. It’s not funny to make fun of someone with cancer…

    • Alan Brown

      January 3, 2020 at 2:40 am

@Some Person where did u see me talk about cancer. which is another bullshit man made disease. how is it that over the years we’ve donated trillions towards cancer research yet it has yet to be eradicated. Dr Sebi had the cure to all. But unfortunately he is no longer with us

    • Some Person

      January 3, 2020 at 2:47 am

@Alan Brown “George Karl was a cancer to that team”. Humans have always had cancer, as have most animals in the history of the world. It’s not new, we just have more things that cause it now than ever. Remember people only used to live about 30-35 years, we died of all sorts of things before treatments were discovered. And I don’t think you understand what cancer is if I have to explain this to you, maybe you should do some research on your own instead of me having to explain it to you. Good luck in life, I’ll pass on anymore conversation if this is how you act…

He covered up the time when Malone raped a 13 year old and got away, would not happen in today’s basketball!

  17. Andre Salazar

He was more bigoted than the commissioners because his league has the most black athletes + made the most money for owners over a long period of time!

Yeah his actions such as the involvement with organized crime extending playoff series and favoring big market teams really changed the league. Changed it into a farce.
