I’d keep him out for the entire semis, and if you do use him (restricted and situationally) like if the team really needs him, but if they’re beating the cavs/magic handily, there’s no need. Bring him back on a minutes restriction in the E. Finals and be ready full-force by Finals.

Stephen A sounds dumb…nobody toys with another team in the playoffs…I don’t care how good they are….just a dumb thing to say

I’ve been a huge Celtics fan for over 20 years, and I have zero confidence we can win the chip without KP. But I agree we don’t need him to finish off Miami or to beat Cleveland or Orlando.

The C’s have a f%*$ing bench. And Big Al will be there. But first of all we have to past t he first round tonight.

This was my biggest thing about picking him up….he didn’t play. a large chunk of reg season, and the playoffs are a lot more physical and he is just brittle. Still wished we would have tried harder getting Myles Turner a few years back.

why is everyone crowning the Denver in the west when there are two teams who are playing well, the wolves and the OKC

  12. @Jug288

    May 1, 2024 at 4:57 pm

Celtics are beating an injured heat team and you can see the flaws in their offense still when C’s are up 15+. They will come out of this matchup soft having to face another team who actually had to fight in close games victory. Watch either the cavs or magic give them a run for there money. Celtics also aren’t the best team in the league. Sure, on paper they look great but put them up against the Nuggets, Dallas or Clippers especially in a close game in the 4th and watch them shatter.

      May 1, 2024 at 5:00 pm

Celtics also don’t have as much depth on the bench than other teams

    May 1, 2024 at 5:06 pm

All these people saying “they cant win without kp”… yall know the future now? The only thing the celtics can do and need to do is take everything 1 game at a time and focus on winning each night. They have the roster to win a title without kp, but it wont be easy.

2019 Stephen A Smith: ” _Kevin Durant better play on his strained calf!! I’ll never let him hear the end of it_ !!!!!”
2019 Kevin Durant: Tears Achilles; Misses 1.5 Years of Basketball (in the prime of his career)
2024 Stephen A Smith: ” _People need to be cautious about asking players to return from calf injuries_ ”

Sober, responsible takes are not Stephen A’s strong suit.

Remember the celtics like the bruins both had 3-1 game advantage last year, both teams got destroyed after, History repeating once again this year as both boston teams will be eliminated first round

Denver vs Lakers was cooked by refs and helped Denver. NBA is done with Lebron. Its the new era now.

    When it’s Denver it’s “ They we’re toying with them “

    When it’s the Celtics it’s “ They play down “ ….. lol

Aside from Denver, I think the Celtics are capable of beating any team in the league w/o Porzingis. Horford might be old but he’s no slouch and has been well rested this season. Tillman has proven that he can be a lock down defender in the playoffs, and Kornet is a tall dude who knows the Celtics system very well & has had a surprisingly good year coming off the bench.

As a Celtics fan I’m extremely concerned. I don’t wanna go against the Cavs without KP. Their starting lineup is stacked

  20. @caseyplunkett6083

    May 1, 2024 at 7:19 pm

Horford even at 39 is better than Perkins was for the 08 title. The Celtics still have a chance at winning the title. Denver is a beast but Boston would still have the addition of Holiday and a year of improvement in Derrick White.

NBA and Cavs fan since 70s. This year my $ are split between Nuggets and Timberwolves, $500 on each. Finals will go 5 games at most.

People really underestimating Nuggets struggles. They had a cakewalk to the finals and played an 8 seed that they simply outmatched. Denver isn’t finishing any series no less than 6 games rest of the playoffs and I could see them losing to most teams left.
