I’d say the Cavs have a 10% chance at matching or breaking that golden state 2016 win record
And probably a 50% chance at beating the 2008-09 Cavs win record which was 66-16

They were saying Kidd took them twice to the finals, not Luka.
But the truth is merciless:
Dallas with Kidd and without Luka is an up-to-average team and without Luka and Kyrie a lottery team.
Dallas has a screaming coaching problem. Luka and Kyrie to some extend are keeping Kidd on the job but the big exposure has come.
Hopefully the trade will start with coach.

Nobody mentions anything above cavs is because they need to prove their dominance in the playoffs. If they can show that they are the best regular season team, better than Celtics and okc in terms of record and can win the 2025 champs then they can be in the conversation.
Teams like Celtics went through many ups and downs, battle several game 7s in their career, face setbacks after a tough loss to steph warriors in 2022, swept KD and kyrie in first round of playoffs, made several ECF appearances to finally win 1 chip in 2024. Winning a ring is not as easy as you think. Best reg season record means nothing

Nothing on ESPN home web front page about the Cavs road trip. They dont want to mention Cleveland at all unless they lose. Four consecutive west coast road dog wins is HISTORIC for Cleveland. THEY couldn’t even pull that off with Lebron and Kyrie and Love….I’m not a stat guy, but if they’ve ever had a quad sweep like that, I think it might have to be pre LeBron.
