they never needed thanasis, he’s more of an emotional support for giannis. Plus there are bad calls on both sides, nothing that blatant though. They’re letting them play for the most part.

He was an immigrant that grew up in a country that he looked different than any other greek. He was living with the fear that any time any day he will be send back to Nigeria. He was poor and had to work from a very young age.
BUT… He worked consistently his ass off and together with his family managed to achieve a lot to be accepted (get citizenship) and escape poverty (drafted).

Pretty nice hero back story… whatever happens in game 6.

Unlike the past 11 years … no superteams, no notable injuries on either side (no offense to DiVincenzo), no suspensions, it is as fair of a playing field in the Finals as we have seen probably since the Lakers and the Celtics went to seven games in 2010. Enjoy it, folks.

That Paul foul looks even worse in slow motion and it’s dirty…really dirty. If Giannis weren’t such a strong and athletic freak, that could have been a serious injury. Paul should be suspended for that crap, he wasn’t even making a basketball play.

  45. MisterJonesification

    July 19, 2021 at 9:34 pm

A cheap shot from Paul, knowing that his last chance for a championship is nearly over. The Lakers and Clippers will be healthy next year, and I’m not sure they’re noticeably better than utah, denver(full roster), and dallas either. He had all of the breaks this year, and if he doesn’t pull if off this yera, then he’s not winning a championship ever.
