I saw JT & JB a month ago Perk, I never thought they should be split up, they’re both too young & still developing, their primes are coming in the near future, they need a better overall team around them, like the rest of the Eastern Conference title contenders

So robert williams (a top ten center on both ends) , grant williams (who’s shooting 50+ percent on corner threes) marcus smart (who’s 13th in defensive box plus minus) al horford (who’s been shooting 40+ percent from three in these last 10 games) , and newly added pieces in derrick white + daniel theis isn’t a solid team ? Defensively speaking this has arguably been the best team apart from golden state . I do agree with needing to add 1 maybe two more solid pieces , but lets not act like the celtics are that far-fetched from any sort of contention come playoff time

Celtics are good they need another 3 point shooter off the bench though. Team would be at another level if they kept Richardson, having white, Richardson, Williams and theis off the bench would be real good

I think it would be very foolish to split Jayson and Jaylen. After this season, however, Jaylen will be entering the final year of his contract and will be an unrestricted free agent after next season if he doesn’t agree to an extension.

I’m hoping we can extend/resign Jaylen and keep this duo locked into contract through most (hopefully all) of their 20s. Jaylen’s extension is the final puzzle piece and the Celtics will have White(27)/Smart(27)/Jaylen(25)/Jayson(23)/Rob Will(24) all under contract for the next 3+ seasons.

They’re starting to gain their identity on the court with the new staff and hopefully this will contribute to Jaylen’s extension! I would hate to lose Jaylen in any capacity, whether trading him before free agency to net a return or taking the chance that he walks. Fingers crossed boys!
