The Warriors should follow the Heat’s example this season – Kevin Arnovitz | The Jump

Published

on

Rachel Nichols, Kevin Arnovitz and Chiney Ogwumike react to the rough start to the Golden State Warriors’ 2019-20 NBA season, with Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and D’Angelo Russell dealing with injuries, Klay Thompson out likely for the season, and Kevin Durant on the Brooklyn Nets. Arnovitz says the team should focus on player development, like the Miami Heat have done with some undrafted and unheralded gems.

Just a testament to lebrons greatness 9 straight nba finals and look at the poor warriors breaking down after 5

@Broward’s Finest EASTERN CONFERENCE. He doesn’t have to give effort in the first 2 rounds. THE BEST teams are in the west where star players become injured. He went to the west, he didnt make the playoffs. 😂😂😂

As the Worriors owners you still care about ticket sales, right? Anyone? No!

That’s the reason you rush the injured players back once healthy.

What about the rest of the teams in the league that didn’t get hurt? I think the Warriors are copping out taking a vacation… faking injuries.

Nah give Spoelstra that same team they winning games over there and that’s facts. Same Kerr that when he was sick Luke Walton “lead” them to a 39-4 record causing him to get a head coaching job. Spo>Kerr coaching and that’s not debatable

@ANT JACK i dont think so. Theres like 10-12teams who have legitimate chances to be in the playoffs over there. The heat would be fighting for 7,8 seed as best case scenario.

I really find it weird how they say “It’s not surprising after going to the finals 5 straight times”. LBJ goes to 9 finals and still balling out, and the bleeping warriors with their overstacked team are breaking down like anything is expected?? These guys make me sick!!

    • Researcher Naoj C.

      November 5, 2019 at 11:19 am

@Rupert Pupkin EASTERN CONFERENCE . It is the WEST where there are better teams and more star players. You can pinpoint the seasons where LBJ was lucky because he doesnt have to compete until the ECF, so not much wear and tear. Actually, he should have won more championships because his path is easier. But the better tested team always win. Imagine if curry and his teammates wasn’t injured in that 2016 finals. He wouldn’t have that ring. He would be stuck with 2 rings.

ha, 5 games and few injuries, kerr and the dubs taking the year off. give spoelstra stein, diangelo and 10 guys off the street…might have 84 different starting lineups but he’ll have them dudes winning 40 games and close enough to the playoffs in time for the rest of the warriors to return and punch their ticket in. guess there’s something to the whole culture thing.

The GSW today is now all new Players and They play as a TEAM not just individual games. So the result is very interesting and fun to watch.

Kinda of put MJ ‘s 1st retirement and the Bulls two 3-peats in perspective when comparing these Warriors to the 90s Bulls.

These guys are going to the playoffs, and it’ll be largely because of these young guys just getting out there and ballin’ hard … it’s education under fire, but if they can get rhythm and communication going and skill-up from film and 1:1… it’s going to turn out better than a lot of people are projecting…

It’s inevitable when you’ve been to 5 straight NBA Finals. The human body isn’t made to play all of those games and minutes without consequence. Eventually you’re mentally and physically fatigued and a year like this happens from a sports/franchise perspective. In the long run this may be a blessing in disguise for the Warriors.
