    1. Darius Garland has really stepped up his game this season
    2. Evan Mobley should be in any RotY discussion but probably won’t be because he plays in Cleveland
    3. Jarrett Allen is a franchise player and the Cavaliers front office should do everything in their power to keep him
    4. This Cavs team is one veteran spot up SG from being a legitimate top 4 seed threat in the Eastern Conference

      November 12, 2021 at 10:16 pm

Garland has really turned into a stud this season. The big question is what to do with Sexton when he gets back? I don’t know if there is a huge role for him with Garland playing so well. I’d like to see us try to trade him for a shooting guard with some more length.

      November 12, 2021 at 10:31 pm

Jarrett Allen signed a 5 year 100 million dollar contract this year and everyone said the front office was insane. Cavs are the 4th seed in the east right now and Evan Mobley is in the roty conversation??

      November 12, 2021 at 10:40 pm

Lebron & Kyrie both won RotY awards & they didn’t make the play-offs either time. If the Cavs can make the Playoffs, I believe voters will definitely take notice of Mobley. The kid is a stud. Also, Cavs signed Allen to a 5 year $100,000,000 contract this past season keeping him under contract until the 2026 season. With such a young team, barring Altman trading everyone for Ben Simmons (which would be stupid, but still possible), Cavs should be in good shape for the next couple of years.

      November 12, 2021 at 10:42 pm

@Brian Kolovich I’ve been in the camp to keep Sexton but with his contract coming to an end and with Garland doing such a great job controlling the floor I can see the Cavs including Sexton in a package trade to get some kind of return instead of just letting him walk. The first SG that comes to mind would be McCollum but I’m not sure how the Cavs could work out that deal. They could possibly include a third team and figure something out. But having McCollum on the floor with Mobley and Allen would be lit.

      November 12, 2021 at 10:50 pm

@Neil Smith I’m definitely not one of the people who said the front office was crazy for that contract. I’m happy to see Allen get his money and I hope that he’s wearing wine and gold when he retires. Nothing but love for that man in Cleveland. And it’s too early in the season to rest on the laurels of being a 4 seed in early November. They’ll need to make some improvements to be a LEGITIMATE 4 seed come March and April. And no I have not heard one pundit or media personality mention Mobley in any RotY conversations. But to be fair I don’t really listen to talking heads so that’s my willful ignorance.

If I was the Pistons, I’d be VERY worried. If I was the Cavs, I’d be pissed if people still think Cade is better than Mobley. It’s like everyone wants Cade to be good and Mobleys BEEN good.

Too early to say who’s best but multiple experts before the draft said that any of the top 4 picks have the potential to turn out to be the best player in the draft. Only fans that don’t know basketball panic this early about their teams draft pick. Gonna take a couple of years to determine who was the best pick

Its too early to make judgments between this two players. mobley for sure is playing better, but cade was selected 1st overall pick for a reason. lets wait till the season ends.

This game shows how the team has evolved.Instead of trying to play their offense through Colin Sexton who is out, they all contribute which helps them win without their best player.

We lost a close game the other night that we’ve been winning with sexton. He’s our top scoring threat and last time I checked the goal was to score more points than your opponent. We beat a terrible team at home but still couldn’t put up 100 points. My hope is that sexton gets back sooner than later because we’re going to struggle without him.
