Glad the Sixers rejected the Spurs’ Murray+Walker offer for Ben Simmons. A straight up Murray-Simmons deal alone is already an L for the Spurs. Just look at the numbers, Murray is up there with Simmons, and both can defend, but the difference is, Murray can shoot and is not shy. Murray has shown his dedication and passion by improving year after year, meanwhile Simmons hasn’t done anything to improve and needs to be babied.

first of all the bench played great. they came up big—especially in the second half. second, dejounte played like an all star for sure. he just had this pop to his game and he played with confidence throughout. i always say that pop runs a great system, so the spurs are going to score points no matter what. but i think the offense is so good that it sometimes doesn’t allow the talent on the team to shine through. the system provides good structure, but we have the talent/players to make plays outside those lines. once we fully realize that—-i think that’s when this team will really start to take off. i like what mcdermott has done so far in the starting lineup. but i felt from the beginning that thaddeus should be the starter. one, he’s a versatile defender. two, he doesn’t need the ball to score/impact the game. three, he can do a little bit of everything (his numbers tonight were on par with what he did in chicago last year). and lastly, it would move keldon over to his natural position of SF. even though lonnie had an off shooting night, you can see that he has some play making ability. i think he needs to focus more on being aggressive and attacking the basket. he gets too caught up in shooting 3s sometimes (although i do believe if your open…you have to take the shot) bryn was taking guys to the basket and knocking down mid-range shots. that’s what lonnie should be doing. that’s really his game. tre played really well. he’s very steady and doesn’t seem to make a lot of mistakes. and i like what keita brings off the bench, also. the spurs didn’t shoot the ball well, but they forced a bunch of turnovers. that was key. overall a good win. i have to be honest i don’t really like the starting lineup as it is now with lonnie at the SF spot. i think we should go more conventional with dejounte, lonnie (i think derrick would thrive in 6th man role) keldon, thaddeus and jakob. reserves: tre (bryn is more situational to me), derrick, devin, keita and drew.

DJ starting to look like the go to guy the Spurs need after DeRozan left. A little more consistency from Keldon and Lonnie while Derrick goes back to his form and this team will be a tough out. They may not win it all but the young core is promising.

Bucks sucks I admit I rooted for them against the suns last finals simply because the suns are much more hateable team but lets admit it Bucks won’t win it had the nets were healthy and their poor management did not even bother to do some decent signings in the offseason especially after letting PJ go compared to what the other teams had done like the bulls and the nets.
