โ€œHeโ€™s gotta get the money somehowโ€โ€ฆ heโ€™ll still make generational wealth if he took 50% of the max. ๐Ÿ˜‚ How much money do you need?

Some people’s greed is truly bottomless

1/10th of the money in a super-max would be life-changing for all of us

    • @drsuperbus

      July 16, 2026 at 4:43 pm

Yet you fuckwits go after players, the ones who actually generate the value – as unfair it might seem – instead of the owners who just leech off all the money.

That was a crazy comment. People always chasing money when they already have it are sick. Just look at the clowns running our country. They’re getting richer by the second and they’re the most vile, miserable and insecure people you could imagine.

The paradox about money is the more you have the more you want. Itโ€™s truly scary the effects it has over human psyche

So did LeBron to help the Heat fill out their roster and with the Lakers as well to a lesser extent.

Yep, Iโ€™m a huge NY fan but I was probably the only one who wasnโ€™t as excited that JB took that pay cut

    • @StephenM777

      July 16, 2026 at 3:32 pm

Players like Wemby and Brunson care about winning championships now. They dont want to wait for there to be new contract negotiations with the league where they finally actually get things right. Theres also almost no chance Adam Silver or most of the owners would agree to remove the salary cap and give the players what they can truly get so no matter what the owners are going to be the winner of any contract, they own the league.

    • @navblue20

      July 16, 2026 at 4:13 pm

The players went along with it. And again 51% the leads income anyway plus a lot of these guys get endorsements so it ain’t like they’re hurting.

      July 16, 2026 at 4:17 pm

Now all of a sudden, bcuz the knicks did it, everyone wants to do it, replicate it nd copy it. Good luck. Too bad u cant take the clutchness, competitive nature and mamba mentality as well out of brunson and transfer it to your cheap imitation of a team as well

  6. @bobbysmith8549

    July 16, 2026 at 2:58 pm

Weโ€™re talking about millionaires taking pay cuts and theyโ€™re still gonna have millions after. Iโ€™m confused like maybe dudes need to check their lifestyle choices.

    July 16, 2026 at 3:00 pm

    STOP SAYING WEMBY
AGAIN THE KNICKS ARE BEING OVERLOOKED AND DISRESPECTED

  11. @aarondavis1284

    July 16, 2026 at 3:40 pm

Wemby will make more money than God outside of NBA max contracts anyways so its a no brainer. More superstars should follow this blueprint

  12. @individuox2264

    July 16, 2026 at 3:53 pm

Dirk did that a lot and always in dallas

NBA team owners love the idea to have more profit of their teams…Teams value is 1000% more than twenty years ago…When owners sell teams take all the money they can…so why players have to take less money than they deserve? You take less money in your work to make your boss happy?

  14. @jeffandsherriefranzwa8970

    July 16, 2026 at 4:11 pm

The NBAPA head can pound sand. These guys often make dozens of times more in a year as I made in my life. If a star wants to sacrifice to be on a championship team, it’s his business, and power to him. Look at what Brady gave up, and look at his rings.

    • @LyricalMurderer1

      July 16, 2026 at 6:31 pm

Itโ€™s not about you and your lowly peon job Jeffโ€ฆ these guys are equal partners with nba owners when it comes to the success of a multi billion dollar business. You can kick rocks for all we care.

    • @jeffandsherriefranzwa8970

      July 16, 2026 at 7:00 pm

@LyricalMurderer1 Thank you for your empathy. Have a good day.

    • @jeffandsherriefranzwa8970

      July 16, 2026 at 7:13 pm

@LyricalMurderer1 If a star wants to make less than heโ€™s worth in order to have a better team, thatโ€™s his choice. No one held a gun to Wemby, or Brunson, or Brady. The extreme salaries are ultimately paid by consumers who buy tv packages, and tickets, and gear, and everything thatโ€™s advertised in the process. Itโ€™s kind of how the Roman working class was pacified during the empire. If the people stop buying all of those things, domestically and internationally, the money isnโ€™t there for the players or the owners.

  15. @Raggamuffin007

Caption doesnโ€™t match the words at all

Wemby gonna be a billionaire anyways off of off the Court things so ts not a big deal

  17. @aBEL_piTA

    July 16, 2026 at 5:01 pm

Millionaires take less money so Billionaires can make more money

Wemby is the ultimate corporate mouthpieceโ€ฆ

  20. @mattwhitely1067

    July 16, 2026 at 7:26 pm

Brunson did not leave a dime on the table he took the max available to him at the time he didnt want to risk being IT

  21. @thedanielkarim

    July 16, 2026 at 8:56 pm

Maybe they just abandon the salary cap altogether, this is stupid. Only people who this benefits is the owners.

  22. @Noirlore

    July 16, 2026 at 8:59 pm

Brunson took the deal in case he got hurt

  23. @kevincummings4120

    July 16, 2026 at 9:21 pm

People have short memories. If it didn’t happen yesterday it never happened. When was MJ the highest paid player? He wasn’t. He made sure Pip and Rod and Tony got paid. Where he was different, he didn’t have to worry about being paid the most. He had Nike money and many other streams of income.

  24. @shutup-q2l

    July 16, 2026 at 9:39 pm

Two is not a trend, but okay.

  25. @lnfinityStones

    July 16, 2026 at 10:57 pm

And then thereโ€™s people like donovan mitchell who wants all the money and yet doesnโ€™t want his own team to get better he just wants all his friends on the team. Sad smh
