The Celtics were perfectly prepared to “not land Giannis” lol
Obviously or they wouldn’t have stopped the trade over Hugo Gonzalez lol
The Celtics saw one of the 4 picks they get from philly, which is actually the clippers ’28 pick…
Had a 90% chance of being a top 10 and a 50% chance of being a top 5 pick lol
That ALONE makes this trade MORE THAN WORTH IT

Perk don’t know Jack about trades! Trading Perk was a far worse trade that actually did end the Celtics title hopes for a bit back in the stone age. Trading Danny Ainge was the worst trade Boston ever made and ended all chances for Larry to get another ring. Speaking of which, raise 44 to the rafters where it belongs! Dealing Danny the Magic Mormon did far more for the Celtics than KG (whose number 5 should be shared with Walton who did at least as much as KG).

Sorry but jaylen, with tatum, and with embiid and maxey, isnt a top 10 player in the league. he requires the usage, he doesnt make others better the way tatum does.

It’s interesting they say they trade Jalen Brown based on his failures. what exactly is success? since 2020 to now Jaylen Brown literally has the most playoff series wins and the most regular season wins. he literally leads the entire league in those metrics since 2020.
failures at what exactly? what exactly is the standard? literally no one has accomplished more in the last six to seven seasons. mind you this guy was a finals MVP 2 seasons ago.

I’m with David on this when it comes to how short these windows are in the NBA. The time of dynasties in the NBA is over. With the CBA and apron rules, it will be hard for teams to repeat and keep players. It’s almost a year by year basis. OKC may win next year or the year after, but there will not be a team winning back to back or three peating anytime soon. It’s almost like you have to go all in every year. The Celtics dropped the ball.

Jordan and Pippen wasnt supposed to last in their era. Only reason they did is because Pippen was getting paid an embarrassingly salary far less than what how he played on the court

I really don’t think Tatum cares, I think Tatum just seen that Jb was in mvp talks when he was the head of the team alone. I think JT is looking to have his big mvp year and Paul George definitely ain’t stealing none of that shine just another playmaker and defender on the roster to help maximize JT
