If we are being honest, Vegas played their best game on Wednesday. Colorado controlled large portions of that game and didnt get the puck luck. Then came back and made a game of it down 3. Vegas cant give up 40 shots and 16 high dangers a game and win this series so Avs still going to take it Makar or not.

On the other hand, the Avs have to quit relying on 3rd period comebacks to win playoff games. Vegas is a veteran enough team to know not to turtle when they have a lead, Avs are undefeated when leading after the 2nd period, you’d think they know that and play with more urgency and “execute” better at the start

@mastersquid20Makar is a better player, but Stone’s effect on the entire team is massive. They went 31-19 with him, and 8-14 without him this season. It’s a way bigger loss than people realize.

Nobody is saying he’s collapsing the team, but losing a #1 defenseman that happens to be a top 5 player in the league that spends half the game on the ice, that’s huge hit and can certainly swing a series.
