Google NBA Rule Number 10, Section 4B. Not illegal if its an accidental kick. Learn something new everyday.
“Kicking the ball or striking it with any part of the leg is a violation when it is an intentional act. The ball accidentally striking the foot, the leg or fist is not a violation.”

@toucheyang89 it was too awkward of a position to be called as intentional. He tried to catch it with his hands before it went to his leg. He didn’t kick it to catch it. He caught it, slipped then bounced to his calves. Which part of that is intentional?
Only pro football can do back heel kicks intentionally. Last time I checked Ayo was never one. Try doing it yourself.
